We Now Know Why Cap Didn't Lift Mjolnir In Age Of Ultron
video description
Also you probably wont get very far in life if youre always showing people up. You have to let other people win sometimes. It doesnt matter if its 60/40 or 70/30. Just fold your winning hand once in a while. Youll see many more friends and opportunities if you do this.

I think its as simple as thishe could lift it in Age of Ultron, but saw the concern on Thors face and decided to stop. Steve is a soldier, and always does what is good for the unit. There was also no reason for him to wield that power, as power is not something that Capt. America yearns; hes driven by duty. He didnt lift the hammer because he thought Thor wasnt ready to handle this development, and duty didnt call for it. In Endgame, when the stakes were super high, the whole world was at stake and Thor was about to be killed, he knew he needed to step it up and needed the hammer to fight Thanos. He didnt need it before, duty didnt call for it, so he let it go.

Nah, the Mjolnir in Age of Ultron is the same one that Cap wielded to fight Thanos in the End Games. And ever since Cap returned Mjolnir back to Asgard in The Dark Worlds, it was the not-yet-worthy Cap who attempted to raise Mjolnir and Mjolnir just had a brain fart thinking it's the same person who not too long ago wielded it but realized Cap wasn't worthy yet. Hence the slit-second decision Mjolnir made. That was the moment when Mjolnir realized it has time travelled. Boom.

Captain America has always been worthy even before Age of Ultron even before his serum experiment. If he hasn't been worthy then why would he use Thor's hammer perfectly and effectively in Endgame. He uses his hammer more effectively and perfectly than even Thor so simply he has always been worthy but his worthiness was gone because he didn't tell his one of the best avenger's members the truth about his parents death when he told it he become again.

The Russo Brothers underestimate Thor as a character, and so they have also shown in Endgame finally. I don't think that Captain America could've been able to lift Mjolnir in Ultron. the slight movement showed that he had the potential to be worthy of it someday. thereafter, when Steve lost Natasha and the rest of Earth post the snap, his grief empowered him, and became worthy.

For 60 years people always wondered why Captain America would be the captain of the Avengers. He wasn't exactly as superpower gifted as Hulk or Thor or as smart as Iron Man. so when he was able to lift Mjolnir, it also validated him as Captain America and what truly made him the captain. Everyone wanted to see this validation and we got it.

d hammer obviously moved in age of ultron. der s no 1/4 worthy were it would move a millimetre, 1/3 worthy moved a centimeter, 1/2 worthy moved an inch. its either worthy or not, either u can lift it or not. cap just didnt lift it to spare thor, since thor s so proud that hes d only 1 who can lift it and is worthy, apart from hes father odin.

It may be that way in the cinematic universe but the comics its whomever Odin deems worthy. As seen in one of the most popular examples where Superman lifts it to deal a single blow then finds out hes unable a few moments after. Thor tells him Odin felt it was in good hands and temporarily lifted the ban.

Well, i believed- Cap knew bucky killed iron mans parents and he hid this from everyone until civil war. Hence hiding a truth made him unworthy.
But in civil war he confesses about this to tony stark and is free of every wrong and hence worthy to lift the hammer in end game!

Half yes, and half no. The only people that can lift the hammer are people that are pure, like cap. Thats why the hammer budged went he tried to pick it up. And like you said, the reason why he didnt want to pick it up is because he did not want to take Thors spotlight.
