Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. Its not a story the Jedi would tell you. Its a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

This often happens in writing. You move stuff around and cuts bits out. The line was transferred in part to the Death Star assault briefing - It's defenses are designed around a direct large-scale assault. In writing you don't get it perfect first time - even Shakespeare edited things, which is why the folio edition of Hamlet is shorter than the quarto. George clearly had lots of ideas, some worked better than others. It seems the difference is with the OT, he worked as part of a team and they collectively made decisions. By the PT he'd grown arrogant, and certain he could do everything perfectly by himself without listening to criticism.

Sullust, is the home world of Nein Nunb, the Sullustian co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon, with General Lando Calrissian in the Battle of Endor. He also was an X-Wing pilot in the battle on Starkiller Base and also survived the extinction of the rebels on Crait.

The pre-quel movies are a study in group think. How do you ruin a franchise and make it totally illegitimate? Give one man all the power and it will fail. I dont understand how anyone let this happen. I mean you can even see the problems with the Return/Revenge of the Jedi. Plot holes poor dialogue and tech and characters put in to obviously sell product rather than to tell a great story! Such a disappointment!

The first 3 star wars had some dialogue and acting that was so cornball, if the original Star Wars were released for the first time today, it would never have spawned a sequel. The prequel trilogy in the 2000's gets bashed without mercy, but 2 of those were far better than any of the first 3. Nostalgia is a dirty liar that makes the past seem more glamorous than it was.

That's one of the biggest differences between the originals and the prequels. The originals actually had people who were willing to criticize the then up and coming George Lucas on his writing flaws and help make the movies better. Unlike the prequels when George was a billionaire filmmaker who surrounded himself with yes men that wouldn't challenge his decisions.

To be honest, I feel bad for George. He writes stories. Really GOOD stories. But dialogue isnt his thing. The story of the prequels, when you ignore the poorly-written dialogue, is actually pretty good. George couldnt find anyone to direct the prequels so he had to do it, and most fans actually dont know that.
