Why The Cast Of HBO's Watchmen Looks So Familiar billybob: I wonder if original Watchmen movie actors were considered for this series. If they're going with Laurie Blake (nee Jupiter) in upcoming episodes, I would have thought Malin Ackerman would be available and perfectly cast (with a bit of aging makeup perhaps. or not. The Night Owl also survived the events of the movie so I expect we'll see him in some form or other. The original actor (don't recall his name off hand) should also be available. If they're using Jeremy Irons as Adrian Veigt and Regina King as the main character, their budget seems pretty solid. Through two episodes, the jury is still out for me.

Yes Don Johnson from Nash Bridges and Miami Vice as well as films such as Tin Cup and Knives Out.
Jean Smart from 24 seasons 5 and 6, Bringing Down the House, Hawaii Five-O.
Regina King from Daddy Day Care, Legally Blonde, 24 season 6
Yahya Abdul-Mateen ii from Baywatch, Aquaman and the coming soon Candy Man.
Jeremy Irons from The Lion King, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Law & Order SVU.
Tim Blake Nelson of course played Samuel Sterns The Leader in the Incredible Hulk, directed the Modern Shakespearean telling of Othello O.

I don't think this is going to be a hit with everyone. Maybe some die-hard fans will watch, but the majority of people won't watch. If you're HBO, for a show to be a hit, it needs to be on par with Game of Thrones. This show won't get there. Not even close.

Not impressed with the 2 episodes so far.
I actually went on a refresher & watched the movie (directors cut) again over the weekend.

Police: Instead of outlawing and jailing people who wear masks to commit violence. well wear masks too.
Logical Thinking.
