I actually had a relative that actually fought in the battle of midway. He was a radio operator and was actually on the U. S. S Yorktown. When the ship was sinking he would run and grab people to bring then to safety and ended up get hit from shrapnel but he still would try and help people so someone a higher rank tried to get him to stop because he was hurt but he wouldn't listen so the person trying to stop him had to knock him out just so he would stop

You never mentioned the b26 marauder, which was also something that happened during midway. When the b26s were attacking the Japanese ships, there was one b26 that got badly damaged and was incapable of returning to base, so the pilot attempted to ram an aircraft carrier, but missed and crashed into the water.

the mark 14 had a detonator designed badly (sideways) and would run too deep (unintentionally) for magnetic detonation due to in testing the test torpedo not having warheads, and live ones not being calibrated right.

They showed it, one dive bomber the rear gun came off its mounting and the gunner had to man handle it like a shotgun, and he usually needed someone to help him get to his plane in the first place.

Looper, The movies was wrong about the Yorktown it did still get damaged like how the movie show and said, but there were no carriers(Aircraft Carriers) at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed.

The truth that I think is a lie is the Japanese code was broken after Pearl. BS. The US Navy having all the aircraft carriers at sea on the day of the attack is a darn lie.
