Things Only Adults Notice In The Flintstones Willie: The gag that really tripped me out: Fred tries to market Wilmas gravelberry pie. As the episode progresses, Fred tries to raise the prices of the pies. The man who was going to buy them tells Fred he doesnt want them. What am I going to do with all of these pies? Fred asks. You can take those pies and the man says as his factory whistle drowns him out. The whistle stops at the same time the man stops talking and Fred says That whistle was making too much noise and I didnt hear what you said I could do with those pies. Of course that line went over my head when I was a kid. When I heard that in my teens, my jaw dropped!

This generation is a little too over-sensitive humans are humans and they're going to do things that you don't like just like comedians say things sometimes that are over the line but funnier than shit it's all how you look at it some people look at a tree and they see something that can cut down destroy and make something else out of other people look at a tree and see something beautiful that give shade and cool in the hot of Summer let's all try to stay on the positive God bless

A really funny tribute to The Flintstones, was when Homer Simpson is on a island building a casino with the island natives, and uses a pelican as a concrete mixer. After pouring all the concrete in the poor birds mouth, the bird of course promptly drops dead. Homer just says, Hey! He was just supposed to say something funny like, Oh my aching back Or, Oh well, it's a living!

I always thought the one overly adult moment in the Flintstones was when Anne Margrock was looking after Pebbles. Right before her lullaby song (about the little lambs, she tickles Pebbles tummy though it is low and a bit too close to probably being a bit inappropriate for TV. Anyone ever notice that?

for a show that took place a million years ago. Err wrong, it didn't. Man and dinosaurs did not live together. The show was actually implied that it's based on the FUTURE after the Jetsons. The animals on the show are genetically modified to serve humans from dino dna.

Good thing most of these episodes were created back in the 60s. NONE of it would fly in this day and age with all the politically correct BS. Why, the humorous animal-powered gizmos alone probably already have pisssd off PETA!

The Flintstones episodes also parodied a number of TV shows over the years, including The Price is Right, Candid Camera, Ed Sullivan and Lawrence Welk. I didnt fully realize this until I was older.

The Flintstones was never really designed for small children. It first aired Friday night 8: 30pm Eastern time. This is an adult time slot and constructed for adults. I love The Flintstones.

I've been watching it on MeTv the first thing I noticed was an epsiode where Fred says Wilma place is at home. Then he trys to do all the housework while she goes to work.

How can you make this video without the episode with paintings of naked women on the wall? Hint - It was in season six, I bet no one here can identify the episode.
