Pattinson Apologizes After Sparking Outrage From Batman Fans C. : He has a superior-human-intellect. just below Lex Luther's.
He is the world's best detective.
He has traveled through time living many lives.
He has a titanic will. He has wielded great power many times. He has wielded just about all of the known, lantern corps, rings even including, I think, the white lantern corp. ring. In one alternate universe incarnation his will overpowered, and overrode the green lantern ring's safety protocols, and used it to murder.
. And he has a ridiculous birthright of money, status, and connections. With all of the duties, responsibilities, and expectations that come with them.
I could go on and on.
Just a bit of advice here. If you don't know anything. Don't say anything.

Batman literally admits he's a criminal. In a recent comic (Red Hood and The Outlaws #6) with Jason Todd/Red Hood, Batman and Jason meet outside Gotham. Jason starts off by saying I know I don't fit into your whole law-and-order routine.
Then he stopped midsentence. He had to. He was caught off guard and totally speechless because Batman was laughing, and not the creepy Batman laugh that criminals fear. Bruce was genuinely amused and laughing out loud. Bruce then says, I'm sorry but how long were we together when you were Robin? And you think I'm all about law and order? Jason, I break into private property without a warrant and beat people up. Almost every night. What about that sounds like law & order?

Its irrelevant that he was in Twighlight. I think this is a brilliant casting idea. You forget the fan base is full of immature man babies. It's part of their pathetic identities to hate on the Twighlight cast. Those movies were awful, but his acting is good, and he's the perfect age for Batman. Around 30 but looks young is what they need so they can use him for longer. No one wants a greying Batman unless they are gonna visit the Dark Knight Returns arc again. doubt it.

Hes not a superhero. Hes a rich billionaire whose parents got murdered. So he fights crime. Yes, he does it because hes a good person, but he also does it to take revenge. Plus, he has no powers. Hes just great at fighting because of the training he got but his body is destroyed. He has little to no cartilage, has arthritis, scarred organs, and god knows what else issues with his body. Hes a hero, but not a superhero.

People in the 80's were hella pissed at the fact that Michael Keaton (a comedic actor) would portray Bruce Wayne/Batman. Folks were sending Warner Brothers hate mail and death threats. Well, maybe not death threats. But hate mail for sure lol. Fortunately for Keaton he proved all of his critics wrong by being THE best Batman ever. Now, this young man has the same opportunity.

he admits that he should've brushed up more on his DC lore before responding
Gee I thought that as an ACTOR one of the first things you do is research the character you're playing before coming to your own uniformed conclusions and also I thought he'd have enough common sense and courtesy NOT to jest and make light of an iconic character that millions of fans love.

I think hes gonna do a great job.
As far as Batman being a superhero. it depends on what you mean by super. When one thinks of superhero they think of having superhuman abilities. Batman is better in many ways because of the fact that he has no super human abilities.

Do a critical look at what Batman is and he's not a hero. He's a self-perpetuating trauma victim that refuses to seek actual help for his issues and instead provokes other such trauma victims into committing crimes so he can be a dark saviour

Gordon used to say: He is not a hero, He is a protector, A watchful guardian
I know some people dont like pattinson now but remember Ledger used to be hated when he just had the role as joker
Give the guy a chance Jeez!

Batman isn't a hero, he even says so himself that he is a criminal in BVS. He is a vigilante who takes the law into his own hands to protect others. like or not he breaks the law quite a lot to achieve his goals.
