Alot of this sounds like they ding know the cartoon or the game because Dr Eggman was always after sonic and all the other little creatures that had some kinda power if you remember the early robots where actually real animals that was acting as living batteries for his robots so he wanted more animal to do his bidding so yea him going all out to get that power was how it always was

You had me all the way up to the end until you tried to put logic into movie based off a game that breaks all forms of logic.

OK sure it's nonsensical that now Tom is no longer wanted by the government but I think we can allow for some leeway due to the fact that this was a Movie based off a Video game with a character that breaks all the laws of physics

Sometimes in family you just don't like people, or people don't like you, their doesn't always have to be a plotted reason or route to the origional hatred, it could just be a simple I think she deserves better than a small timer or you'll drag her down, stay away seeing as he is pretty flat line in a dead town: / Reasons aren't always required

Just watched it yesterday with the family. We enjoyed it very much. Some of the funny scenes are a little played out but that didn't bother me at all. Happy to see it doing well and glad to be part of the fan response that paid to see it. Give it a chance, stay during the credits for a couple extra scenes.

Why does Rachel hate Tom? Well did anyone consider racism? It's still a relevant topic that affects many people, and not always in the way you'd expect. But it's definitely something they could explore in a potential sequel. Plus I'd like to see Sonic connect with Jojo more, like surrogate siblings.

the Pentagon officials are irritated at eggman but they have no choice and called eggman for investigation.
but when they this discover that sonic is not a global threat and throws our eggman they are so happy with that; )

If you go back and watch when Carrey says he'll be home by Christmas, the theme of Robotnik from The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog plays. And that goofy robot walk was a play on his giant Robotnik at the end of Sonic 2.
