It wouldn't make sense for him to retire from this character and for Marvel to get rid of him, because what would happen to him in the next Guardians of the Galaxy film? He rode off into the universe with them for a reason so we'll have to wait and see what happens

Well good to know that Thor aka Chris Hemsworth is gonna stick around as one of the earlier Avengers, As Cap s gone and same with Iron Man so yeh guess just wait & see where it goes after this upcoming Thor movie.
