That Seinfeld episode was hilarious it was not cringe-worthy. making someone go to sleep against their will is not all right but to be all nitpicky come on it was just a comedy you read too much into it. You could say anything is cringe-worthy if you try to twisted around on children's shows even on this show you could say this is cringe-worthy

You need to remember, it was the 90's. Things weren't as tender, as they are now. I am not saying these things were ok, not in the least, but calling out the shows is a bit of a stretch.
