So. the people going to see Avatar on the first weekend are die hard fans, they are likely to be overly fond of the franchise.
Let's see what happens in it's 2nd week.
If the box office drops 75+% it would suggest it would be a stinker.
If it holds to a drop of between 75-50% then it is probably a goodun.
It it remains below a 50% drop - that would make it a bona-fida hit.

Hello there saw the movie earlier today and loved every minute of it. The visuals are amazing, was on the edge the entire time, and the audio description devices for the visually impaired makes the experience that much better. Enjoy your weekend!

Oh and this comment goes to Payakan and Quaritch. my two favorite characters in this movie. The depth given to the villain in this movie is very much appreciated that was absent in the first movie.

This has got to be the greatest film in visual spectacles. I will never forget the scene in the beginning when the rocket ships came back to Pandora. Chills all over!
