1. It starred Ezra Miller who has been gaining a lot of controversy due to the crazy stuff he's been doing.
2. The storyline line was dull and the multiverse story has been done already by previous films, Spiderman Across the Spiderverse, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Everything Everywhere all at Once.
3. Ezra's acting was terrible, he was an awful Barry Allen.
4. Terrible CGI in the film.

5. Heavy competition from previous films like Spiderman Across the Spiderverse, Transformers Rise of the Beasts, and Fast X.
It appears the superhero movie genre is losing steam or Hollywood needs to get better story writers, but since there's a Hollywood writers strike going on, we're in for more terrible movies & Tv shows.

The main reason it flopps has more to do with all the behind the scene power struggles in WB
Ousting Zack Snyder ending the Snyderverse, getting rid off Henry Cavill, announcing the death of DCEU before the movie being aired and all the uncertainties of how much of the old cast would stay and go
For now, bring in James Gunn has being disasterous lately
He may has the talent, but he makes too drastic changes
People want him to get rid of the bad part and keeping the good part of DCEU
Not casting it all aside altogether

It is a shame I must be one of the few people who actually did like the movie I found a humorous charming very nostalgic I see a big reason why a lot of fans didn't like it coming from flashpoint of which the movie was kind of loosely based on if they would have stuck with the story of flashpoint then I think it would have done a hell of a lot better but they didn't and it shows but overall it was one of the better ones that DC has done in a very long time I thought Ezra Miller did great All the appearances of the old Batman and Superman was awesome but was it was it great was it as good as like the Justice League Snyder cut definitely not but it was still a very good movie shame that a lot more people didn't go watch it and won't watch it but we'll see what James's gun can do for the DC universe

Let me count the ways. 1. Ezra miller, 2. superhero fatigue, 3. Streaming services taking over the movie industry, 4. Prices at theaters getting out of hand, 5. General economic problems forcing general audiences to be more spending conscious, 6. Diminished faith in Warner bros' ability to make good dc movies after so many stinkers, 7. Confusing continuity in regards to dceu, 8. Frustration with retcons and reboots rendering prior movies meaningless, 9. Spite about abandoning the snyderverse, 10. Competition with other summer blockbusters, especially Spiderverse, 11. Frustration about recastings, especially dropping henry cavill. Let me know if yall think of any more reasons why this movie was doomed.

Aside from the controversy around Miller I am also a bit tired of super hero movies and movies whose plot lines deal with parallel dimensions/universes/whatever. Spiderman has done this now in two different movies, Marvel in general seems really keen on this concept (Dr Strange, Antman, Loki. It just seems too much. I recently watched the first Iron Man Movie and even though the scope is much smaller it still holds up, because the story is centered around humans/the earth and it seemed a lot less videogamy. Maybe, just hit the pause button for two years on super hero movies and then start again with more grounded stories.

most people knew long before it came out that this was gonna be have a bad box office. its the same with aquaman. as long as these actors that the community hate is in the movies they wont do good. it doesnt matter if you come out apoligizing now. we know that ezras apology is without a doubt just something warner made him do so he could keep the flash job. its already to late. like same aquaman ah youve made it look for 6 years. your not coming back. it might have helped them maybe a tiny bit making him not come to the premier but even that. having 300 million + needed to gain back money isnt a good thing for them.

Why are people always blown away when a bad looking superhero film flops? Everytime a new Marvel movie does poorly the media constantly assumes it's superhero fatigue rather than the movie just being awful. Dc hasn't known what direction it's wanted to go in for years and now we all know a reboot is happening so we're just waiting it out. Disney/Marvel has been over doing it with humor and constant preaching towards their audience rather than just trying to make a entertaining movie. Guardians felt like a movie meant to entertain and that's why it succeeded.

i dont understand how dc hasnt figured out a path to success when their animated films lay the blueprint. have 2 or 3 movies to introduce the justice league and then lead to justice league dark apokolips war. that is an avengers level film and if you go dark people would love it. this is the only way to possibly top avengers. every person i recommend this animated movie to they wish the live actions movies were that good. its insane the animated movies with a tiny budget can have a better script and ideas than a movie costing 200m

Bluntly put, I won't give my money that supports someone like Ezra Miller. Couldn't care less about their personal preference. However, this person did several bad things that hurt people and the studio chose to protect them and their movie. The scenes I care about, Keaton's Batman, I can watch clips online because really that's all I want to see. The studio should have went with Grant Gustin for The Flash. I watched the him in the series and thought he was good in the part.

If you had stuck closer with Snyder's original vision which is closer to injustice, this could have been better. And replacing Ezra with grant Gustin, although that'd create different problems.
They tried to dress it up for sure but it the change from Snyder's vision and Ezra's questionable behavior just puts a stink on this that was never going to go away.

I still don't know why everyone is hyping James Gunn as the messiah for DCU? Sure he's a talented director, but being the head of the DCU is not the same as directing. Kevin Feige is the head of Marvel not because he's a talented director, but because he's a savvy producer. Look at the CW, Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns made the CW shows a hit.

The movie is actually really good, well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it! . But this is most likely the last time we'll see Ezra play The Flash. Although considering events that happened in the film it would make canonical sense for the character to be played by a different actor now I think, can't say more without spoilers!

I went into this movie and was surprised by it's heart warming touch between Barry and his mum and dad and the damage travelling back in time does have. Very happy to see the two Batman in action and the new Super girl who was such a strong character. everything about the movie to me was amazing. 10/10 Best DC movie this year for me.

The Flash is watchable but the story is messy and CGI really bad. However, I think the low box office number have more to do with people getting over superhero movies than anything else.
Western was a genre that s disappeared. So are musical and teen dystopia. Superhero is following the trend and will die out in a few years.

This movie felt like a cameo focused movie. The time travel thing made no sense. We didn't get to see who killed Barry's mom. The time travel animation was very bad no matter whatever the nerd justification. Also that this movie has zero consequences for the future too. Felt really really underwhelming for me.

Look we all love the flash, but Ezra Miller for the past 3 years has been a douche. I really can't bring myself to support him. For those that don't know he goes around beating up random people (lots of them were women/couples. He doesn't deserve to be the flash.
