Sick of seeing this they didn't predict a single thing! The episode is about Homer meeting a man he thinks is his real father. This guy is an explorer who is looking for missing spanish treasure on the sea bed' they find it but homer gets lost then stuck then runs out of air. The titan went down to see the titanic but imploded along the way. That's like saying I predicted princess Diana's death because I got lost in my car and ran out of fuel.

This is just fallacious reasoning. Even a broken clock can be right twice a day. When you throw as much random shit at the wall as shows like the Simpson s and family guy you can bend a storyline to fit many scenarios. Just as is done with religious texts.

While trying to write 750 episodes over 34 seasons, there's gonna be a lot of material covered. When doing a submarine show there's only 2 topics to make it interesting. Sub encounters aliens or mermaids or sub gets stuck.

The simpson submarine was made way more with higher budget while homer only lost oxygen cause he got stuck but was saved, the real life was lost cause they made the sub the cheapest they can and imploded to death
