Guys, I am fan of Mojo. Nevertheless, the gross misrepresentations and depictions of what a Puerto Rican is, are quite shocking and offensive, to put mildly!
It is because of content such as this, and careless, unenlightened and uneducated statements of this ilk that the current state of race relations has not advanced to the point where they should be.
Being a Puerto Rican is not a race, or ethnicity, its a place of origin.
The statement about Ricky Martin now being a U. S. citizen, show the grossly negligent lack of knowledge of the islands status, which is: a Commonwealth, not merely, an incorporated territory.
All Puerto Ricans are U. S. citizens from the moment of their birth, whether they ever step foot on the mainland.
My, and a large multitude of people are like my family, tall, fair-skinned, light-eyed and either red-headed, blonde, or light brown hair. I know my ancestry to about 1200 a. d, and my ancestry is very much Spanish; but I am as much a P. R. as the one who does look like me. We Puerto Ricans come in all shades and flavors; travel, educate yourselves people! This vid sounds like something from the 50s!

In the island there are thousands of Asians, thousands of people of mixed Jewish heritage, many Puerto Ricans of Lebanese descent, there are thousands of Puerto Ricans of Corsican-Italian heritage (look it up, thousands of people with Irish last names and gasp Puerto Ricans with blue eyes, red hair and freckles and there are dark Black Puerto Ricans and Puerto Ricans that look very Native. I can't easily explain it, but we just don't have the same mentality as mainland Americans about our race. However people born in the mainlan of Puerto Rican parents do.

Folks should know that as Puerto Ricans we come in different shades, for instance in my whole family my ancestry is BLACK. Both my parents are Puerto Rican and they are black, and we are referred to as Afro Puerto Rican, or Afro Latina but in the US mainland I am an African American cause as Afro Latina it is still yet recognized as a nationality.

Why mention that Martin is a citizen of the US? The island is a US territory and we are all citizens automatically, unlike those that immigrate to the US. We are born citizens, call us NATIVE AMERICANS.
