We bet that in a decade or so, these movies are the ones that will be in the classics collection. Were talking about Her, directed by Spike Jonze, Blue is the Warmest Color, starring Adle Exarchopoulos and La Seydoux, Brooklyn, starring Saoirse Ronan, Carol with Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett, Moulin Rouge, directed by Baz Luhrmann and Before Sunset, directed by Richard Linklater

I was expecting to be disappointed that About Time wouldnt even be on here, but there it was in honorable mention! That would be my #1 though and Before Sunset would be #2. If you havent seen the Before trilogy, watch them!

Watchmojo, did you go to the BBCs list of 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century list to gather information for this? Cuz #1 & #5-#10 are on the BBCs list of 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century.
reply

La La Land sucked, dance scenes and music seriously flat and disappointing. I CANNOT believe you did not include The Illusionist, one of the most romantic movies ever.
reply

None of these are or will be classics. La La Land may continue to be overrated by critics and The Notebook be loved by Ryan Gosling fans.
reply

Of course The Notebook is a classic, becauae what's more romantic than a guy who threatens to kill himself unless you date him?
reply

Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail should have been on this list, unless it didn't include movies from the 90s.
reply

What about 2005's Pride and Prejudice? That is a masterpiece for the 21st century. Rebooted from the BBC's classic.
reply

Two of my favourite movies are in this list, but i'm not surprise: )! , but, question, why A Walk to Remember isn't here?
reply

Brooklyn, About Time, and Before Sunset (that was always my favorite of the trilogy! Yes! But, ugh, the Notebook.
reply

I don't know which movie is sadder for me. Brokeback Mountain or The Notebook. I think both should have been higher.
reply

I love Before Sunset! Such a perfect movie. I actually ended up watching it before Before Sunrise, haha.
reply

Im glad Watchmojo included LGBT movies like Carol, Blue Is the Warmest color, and Brokeback Mountain on the list.
reply

I don't agree with Moulin Rouge, but you obtain points with About Time, it's an amazing movie, so underrated.
