Angela Moss should be on this list: At first I understood her stress in the first 2 seasons of Mr. Robot where she struggled with her mother's death by the company she worked at. Season 3 turned her into an outright asshole. she made everything about herself. gaslighted Elliot to complete Stage 2 when he didn't want that to happen and didn't treat him like an actual person bc he didn't matter to her anymore and was enjoying the fruits of manipulating him bc of Whiterose. had him fired when he was trying to do the right thing and he wasn't even aware of what she was doing to him. and later blamed everything on him and taunted his mental illness struggle when he found out about her betrayal just to make him the bad guy and later broke ties with him just because he was upset. and blamed him and Darlene for Stage 2 when they weren't even aware of it in the first place and she herself was the one responsible for letting it happen. and when Elliot was trying to help her. she accused him of manipulating her after seeing Leon in his apartment when she herself was the one doing the same.
I know she was manipulated by Whiterose but that manipulation turned her into a total jerk who treated everyone like crap and didn't take responsibilities for her mistakes all bc she wanted revenge for her mom's death. Even if she thought this would bring her and Elliot's parents back. this doesn't justify her shitty behavior throughout the third season.

Hawkeye Pierce: On MASH. Yes he tortured his room mate Frank who was admitedly also a jerk but Hawkeye was relentless, and merciless. The Fundamentalist Frank ( from the movie) was a hypocrite, but Hawkeye? Just mean as a snake.
Xander was a lot like Scott Pilgrim a young man in a very awkward stage of life slowly, while awash in hormones and unrequited love trying to find himself. Both characters actually do and I think Xander had some of the best character moments in the show to go with the truly terrible ones he had. The moment you show was actually one of his best moments. - Making fun of Ross' lecturer's name.
-Making fun of his career.
- Returning the gifts he brought her (example: the necklace for store credit.
- Ruining his wedding.
- Not being sensitive towards the fact that Ross was jealous of Mark spending time with her outside of work (probably because Carol cheated on him) also Mark admitted to be into Rachel proving his insecurities correct.
- Sabotages Ross' relationship with Julie.
- Sabotages Ross' relationship with Bonnie.
- Gets mad at him for not fully reading the letter, even though it was 5 o'clock in the morning and it is quite obvious that someone would fall asleep.
- She said yes to Joey after he accidentally proposes.
- She decides to go to Paris also decides to take Emma away from her father without discussing it with him.

Agreed with Ted at number one, Barney is a terrible person but at list he admit it, everyone around him is always telling how disgusting he is and as seasons pass he learn from his mistake and show regret for his actions. Ted thinks he is a hopeless romantic and all his actions are good and the world doesnt understand, when in reality he is posesive, kind of a misoginist, self centered and a huge stocker. He is the worst.
Pd: We all love Michael Scott, greatest tv comedy character ever, but he belongs in this list he is a big jerk.

It was established very quickly in TBBT that Sheldon was a jerk - admittedly not really in the pilot and he worked into it quite slowly in the early episodes (his guerilla-tidying of Penny's flat was nice on one level, though more to do with his OCD that kindness.
Ross was also established as a bit of a jerk quite quickly, though it was obscured at first by the travails he initially underwent

How is Ross higher than Sheldon? Number 7, Ezra Fitz, I don't watch the show but I feel like that's an example of the Dobler/Dahmer line (a thing in HIMYM where a gesture can either be interpreted as romantic or creepy depending on if the recipient reciprocates the feelings - Dobler - or not - Dahmer) Since she liked him, that's not as jerk-ish, I guess.

Eric Forman isnt a jerk. Sure hes had some idiotic moments, but every choice and mistake he made taught him to be better. There were even times where he was being noble such as turning down college to support his family and making sure no other guy was leaving Donna hurt. Hes more human than an average dhead.

Michael Bluth wasnt a jerk it was just the joke that he couldnt help but do the same things his dad used to do to him to his son. The characters were so well written on that show though like Michel and Gob really seemed like George Sr. kids the way they acted made decisions.
