Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
These are the Disney songs that were cut from the final edit! For this list, were tapping our toes and looking back at some of the forgotten Disney tunes that didnt make it into the final cut of their respective movies, but still make excellent bonus content or album-exclusive tracks. Well also be including songs that dont appear in the movies themselves, but play over their credit sequences. Weve included songs like Im Odd from Alice in Wonderland, Lifes Too Short from Frozen, To be King from the Lion King and more!

I know a deleted song from Disney people should hear: Be Prepared Reprise.
Scar was wondering if his people loved him and asked Zazu what Mufasa had that he didn't. As Zazu went throught the (long) list, Scar got the idea of finding a queen and having her bare him heirs. Then, Nala entered his den. He sends out Zazu and moves closer to Nala. He starts singing about his longing for her to be his queen and she starts to back up, confused and scared. Pretty soon, Scar has Nala cornered by a wall and he moves in closer and closer, till she ends that nonsense and smacks Scar across the face. She runs out of his cave and Scar anoncues that he wants Nala to be his queen, and if she says no he will exile her from the Pridelands. The other lionesses say Scar is abussing his power and rally to protect Nala. Not long after, Scar's hyenas circel around the lionesses and Nala decides to go and find help before things get too bad.

9: 09, Im not saying it would have improved the movie (Wouldnt matter to me as I love Pocahontas as a kid and now as an adult) but cutting this song was a huge mistake as it made John and Pocahontas love mean so much. I dont get why the tenth anniversary version was never released on Disney+. Also, to all the Historical Inaccurate complainers, I know this film is not the true story but why do you care? Disney stated from the way beginning that this film was based on the Legend (Tall Tale, and the moment John Smith was turned into a blonde from brunette, and no beard, and Pocahontas aged up to 18, that was the moment your Historian eye should be thrown out. Back to topic, I enjoy this movie every time I watch it.

If you watch the special features for Beauty and the Beast, the version of Human Again that they put in the extended edition is different than the one they originally wrote. The initial version had much more of a passage of time element, that they decided didnt work because they didnt want people to fixate on how much time Belle was actually spending in the castle and therefore how long her Dad had actually been wandering around looking for her. The version that was written for broadway got around this by cutting out the part about time passing and just focusing on the objects and what they wanted to do when the curse was broken

_Proud Of Your Boy_ be the number one Disney song that can really break me to tears. The song was growing more known when Disney released the Disneymania 3 CD that selling like wildfire in the early 2000s. The Disneymania version was sung by Clay Aiken who brought a more emotional cover while it blended with the magical instruments playing just like in the original pre-recorded version. Eventually the Broadway appeared and brought the song back in memory of Howard Ashman.
We miss you still, Howard Ashman.

I love the song if I never knew you. And Im still angry that they cute this out. Also when you listen to the background music, you recondite, they still put the melody in Szene before the Szene in the tent and also after that Szene ( when John and pocahontas they goodbye to each other for example. So when the song would be in the movie, you would feel more feelings in this Szene. Because it would remind you of the song and the emotions of the songs. But now this is not happening because the song is missing

No mention about Home, sung by Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. When I heard the song for the first time watching a clip of the Broadway musical I thought it was impossible the song wasnt originally in the 1991 movie. In the live action theres only a piece of the melody, when Belle enters her room of the Beasts castle. I was very disappointed Emma Watson didnt sing Home. its so touching! Same for If I cant love her, sung by the Beast only in the Broadway version.

I learned recently that in the movie Aristocats There's at least two songs that were discarded and they're amazing (their names being She never felt alone // How Much you mean to me/Court me slowly)
And then in the movie Home on the range there's yet another song that is really entertaining and fun to listen to called Heroes, villains and cows
They would of made a really good soundtrack on their respective movies in my opinion

Never smile at a crocodile O. O What is an Aussie song doing in a Disney movie? Wait. Never smile at a crocodile might not be Aussie? Well thats a little mind blowing. (Checks: written by Americans)
Also Im now wondering why on earth its a crocodile, wouldnt it make more sense for it to be an alligator? Not that Im complaining but. alligators live in America. (Checks) and apparently crocodiles do as well, the things you learn.

I remember Muisc in your soup! I was in a Snow White play! I played Bashful! I know the song because the forest animals actually sang it! I sang in the silly song, High Ho and Buddle Uddle! I LOVED THE PERSON WHO played Snow White! She was really nice!

I wish they somehow integrated 'Proud of your boy' into the 2019 live-action remake. Like after Aladdin loses the lamp and then has a flashback about everything that he has done, and it just playing in the background.

I think Proud of Your Boy is lovely and I would love to watch the Broadway show of Aladdin to hear it, but If I Never Knew You is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL song EVER! I literally sob every time I watch the sequence.

Someday is just so beautiful though! Listen to the version by Chloe Agnew of Celtic Woman. She was 15 when she recorded it. I tear up every time. I love God Help the Outcasts. But I love Someday too.

11: 30 In the 2017 version, Days in the Sun has a similar meaning to Human Again, except it's looking back to when they used to be human, instead of looking forward to when they will be human again.

My favourite deleted song is He Lives in You (The Lion King.
Good thing it eventually made it into the musical and then the sequel. I wish it could have been included in this list though.

I think To Be King, a deleted song from The Lion King should fit Oogie Boogies voice actor Ken Page who voiced the aforementioned Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas!
reply

You forgot the one that should've been number one: Mysterious Force - originally planned to be in Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension but later deleted.

I wish Frozen had kept More than Just the Spare. I Cant Believe My Heart was a beautiful song for Meg to sing but I understand why we ended up with I Wont Say Im in Love.

Does anyone else notice that IN LITERALLY EVERY TOP 10 DISNEY VIDEO, ALADDIN IS ALWAYS NUMBER 1 it kinda annoys me but a still like Aladdin its just every time

We did Someday for choir when I was in high school. Can't remember what year because I was in choir for five years in total, counting middle school

Proud of Your Boy is so beautiful! I do get why it was cut but its such a shame. Howard Ashman was an incredible song writer, gone far too soon.
reply

I was doing music for the Beauty and the Beast play in 5th grade before I saw the movie, so I didn't know that Human Again was removed at the time
reply

I think Disney should have just kept If I never knew you. You hear that song all throughout Pocahontas and in my eyes it's a great love song.
reply

How could anyone forget when love is gone from the Muppet Christmas Carol, look it up now and tell me you don't get choked up listening to it
reply

When I was litles the VHS versions had someday and if I never knew you and I saw the films and wait to the credits to listened.

I listen to Frozens outtake Lifes Too Short. it was fine. i taught that a couple of songs on this list was on the original.
reply

I really wish they put Proud of your boy back in the live action version of Aladdin. Mena Moussoud would have sang it well.
reply

Me before watching the video: If I Never Knew You has to be number 1
After watching the video: close enough.

reply

11: 48 The instrumental version is in the movie. The version with lyrics has been released in sing-along videos.
