It's 2023 and I will play any of Fred Astairs dance video's with any good modern music and it blends to magic. just try playing Fred Astaire with Gabriel Delgado Feat. M. S. J. - I Believe In Love 2013 and it becomes a dancers cerographic dream come true. I'm 68 years old and I still love dancing and watching good quality dancing from the pasted. Two mail dancers that fit my #1 of all time are Fred Astaire and Gregory Hinds and BOTH get first place! !!

He never ceases to amaze me! Used to feel at times in a trance watching him on the big screen so many years ago.
I have to say, though, that I would've enjoyed these iconic clips a lot more if there wasn't so much talking!
I know there has to be a certain level needed, but the announcer seeming to love her own voice so much makes, as the
end result, the artistic quality suffer!

Does anyone remember an old, black and white film where he danced alone in a tent/barracks? It was memorable, but I'm at a loss for the title of the movie. I think it was one where he was in the Army and confined for some kind of infraction. Thanks for any help you can give on finding this gem.

He only got to this status. because he was a PALE man. BLACK. MEN INVENTED THIS SHIT. all of it. James Brown would make this guy look like a a beginner dancer! He was good. but he can't. Mess. with the original dancers and creators. They ways STEAL. they have never been creative.

Fred Astaire is the greatest dancer, brilliant, virtuoso mastery of technique, brilliant plasticity and a sense of rhythm. And he also sang wonderfully and had a wonderful comic gift. All his partners also dance and sing beautifully.
reply

I read somewhere michael Jackson watched old movies of dancers and he would incorporate what he saw in his dance routines and Fred Astaire was one of the guys he watch. I can see it now
reply

Wasn't my sort of thing, my late grand parents loved him, but I still can't help admire his talent and the attention to detail, it had to be absolutely flawlessly perfect every time.
reply

Actually I think Dancing in the Dark was the better dance because of the near perfect synchronization between Astaire and Charisse. I've never seen such sync before or since.
reply

I love watching Fred Astaire I want to create something special about Fred Astire featuring Mickey Mouse by me into musicals, & Broadway I want people to enjoy it
reply

Crazy. We use the term ahead of time. I don't think there is one that could match this talent. This guy had no video edit and still nails everything. 1 take.
reply

This would have been 100% terrific. But you had to keep talking. If your audience is that uninformed they need you to explain what they see. Thats sad.
reply

Up north in the Never Never, where
the land is harsh and bare,
lives a mighty hunter
named Mick Dundee,
and he can dance like Fred Astaire.

Each and every dance and each and every partner gets a first place for me when it comes to Mr Astaire. Icon doesnt begin. Thank you Ms Mojo.
reply

My two favorites were both in Royal Wedding. The one where he was dancing on the ceiling, and the one where he was dancing with a coatrack.
reply

Aww, I was hoping the drunken dance or Say It With Firecrackers from Holiday Inn would be on here. These are still so wonderful!
reply

It's amazing, to see and remember these dance masters. so well matched and perfect (ok) Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers
reply

Love his dancing. He and Gene Kelly were just the two best dancers ever. Astaire for elegance and Kelly for athletic.
reply

I prefer the scenes with Rita Hayworth as she smiles radiantly. She seemed to enjoy the dance very much.
reply

I think that the firecracker dance and the dance where Fred estaire is drunk in holiday inn should of been picked
reply

Astaire danced as if he was floating in air. and Rita Hayworth was one of the most sensual women who ever lived
reply

Nr 7 dem Bone's Cafe. Maybe a helping Idea for Michael Jackson with smooth criminal. They both were Friends.
reply

My favourite Fred Astaire dances were from the movie Holiday Inn, the firecracker tap dance and the drunk dance.
reply

That beginning. Tom holland on that lip sync show looked just like Fred Astaire there. maybe im just imagining.
reply

My dad was a dance instructor at a Fred Astaire studio. I can see his movements in him. I miss him so much.
reply

reply

To be deliberately ignorant to the violence in my life was a gift, kindness doesn't live here anymore
reply

Begin the Beguine is my favorite. Eleanor Powell said they rehearsed two weeks JUST in arm movements.
