I dont understand why these flix get nominated for Oscars because they dont appear in movie theaters while HBO movies were never nominated even tho many were considered to be great. Maybe o am wrong and the Netflix movies are appearing in movie theaters. I would truly appreciate it if somebody can explain this to me.
Its not the Emmys or Golden Globes where streaming have been nominated

If Roma won an Oscar, I have to accept the fact that Netflix will try to win an Oscar in the future. However, Netflix releasing movies on streaming shows that they will destroy cinema, not thinking about people working at the cinema to ends meet. All Netflix cares about is destroying jobs.

Roma is utterly sad but also hopeful. It's neither naive nor defeatist. It balances its subject with greatest empathy and that's what I love about the movie. Well-deserved #1 on the list (:

God, how I wish I loved Roma as much as the rest of the film community does.
