No one actually talk about 5 centimetres per second. It's truly a great movie and most people can't accept the harsh reality of the story. But this anime is like watching a real life film depicting human life. The movie's realism in theme was too hard for most of the people to take. After all, fans want to see a happy ending ALWAYS and escape from reality.

I have to say, the day I watched the girl who leapt through time I kept thinking about it day and night the movie had such an impact on my brain I was madly in love with it. except for the ending it was kinda dissatisfying but I still adore this movie to this day. I wish I could completely forget about this movie and watch it for the first time again

It's a short film and another Makoto Shinkai work, but I liked Voices of a Distant Star. The theme echoes that of 5 cm per Second- 2 lovers whose relationship is slowly fading over time due to time and distance. Unlike 5 cm per Second, it features mecha so it can be a more accessible work for some.

I watched Your Name 2 days ago on Saturday, i already knew the plot but it was still very emotional and moving. I love it so much. I definitely can relate to it. I have to watch it again for sure. I had a feeling it would be in the number 1 spot on this list, glad i was right.

I really was not expecting Doukyusei on this list. The animation is great, Nakamura Asumiko's drawing style is really cool. The story is also great, very sweet, very relatable.
