Broke back Mountain is the most devastating movie Ive ever seen in my life, because I saw it a week after my husband of over two decades and I officially divorced. All I knew, but it was a movie about two gay men, and being a gay man, I thought what the hell, Lets see a straight persons take on a gay relationship, I had absolutely no idea what the movie was really about, but by the time the movie was over, the theatre manager had to call 911 and help me carried on a stretcher, because I was so emotionally overwhelmed, I passed out on the floor. When I woke up I was just sobbing hysterically, so much emotion in me all being released at the same time. That was the first and last time Ive ever seen that movie, even hearing the music from it will send me into the depths of depression. Im happy to say that after we split up, we managed to reconcile our differences, because we realize how much we love each other after spending all me a couple of months apart, and we are now back together and about to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. We dont count the time that we were apart is anything but a little break, but nonetheless, every time I hear even just a few bars of music from the soundtrack, I completely lose it every time, because it just brings back so much raw emotion that absolutely destroyed me, even though everything turned out good in the end, those emotions will never leave me, I never thought I could feel that depressed in my life, amazing how a movie add the music in it, can so deeply affect us, that were left absolutely devastated, I was depressed for months after I saw that movie, and I will never watch it again, I cant. Am I alone here?

I loved a dying woman. She was terminally ill with kidney illness. Fault With Our Stars isnt a tragedy. The tragedy happened before the scripts events (their respective illnesses. They found something from nothing and made the most of it. Trust me, after seeing a funeral for the living, those years I will not change for nothing. It gave me, and her, something beautiful. I dont regret that ever

Unless it it's about a dog dying, I pretty much have a hollow tin chest when it comes to movies (I did cry the first time I saw Titanic, though I was like 11-12ish and in the theatre with a lot of other people and I think it was just preteen hormones kicking in, I saw it 2-3 more times in the theatre and not a tear after the first viewing)

I'm only here because of a recent marvel movie. I've been watching movies all my life. I've seen just about a million of them. And only a hand full have made me cry. But there is no other movie, that has made me cry so hard, and for so long. than Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The story of the dog waiting for his owner to return sounds very similar to Futurama. For when the owner waits for his dog to return back to him only to find out that the dog died right before he got the chance to see him and reunite with him.

A. I always gets me. A true classic of the Pinocchio tale.
Centennial Man also gets my tears rolling as its another Pinocchio tale of self acceptance.
As goofy and entertaining Forest Gump is that ending is so happy but sad to.

In an accident (Brokeback Mountain)
Did we really call what happened to Jack an accident
I am uncertain of how getting beaten to death with a tire iron is an accident. but if you say so.

Detroit made me cry out of genuine sadness and horror because it really happened right here in America. The fact that the people responsible were never held accountable makes me sick to this day.

Wuthering Heights (1939 version) is probably the saddest ending of all time. Others worth mentioning areL Shane, Casablanca, Ghost, sixth sense, even the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy leaves Oz.

There is no movie that can top Field of Dreams or Terminator 2: Judgement Day in my opinion
Edit: I know, Field of Dreams is a happy cry, but it still counts in my opinion

I feel the bridge to terabithia hurt an entire generation of kids who were brought to the movies by their parents thinking this was a fun, engrossing adventure film.

I've never seen Marly and me. This clip had me crying.
Shakespeare in Love better be on this list. I never get through the end without so sobbing.

Well.
At least Ghost gets an honorable mention but it honestly should have been #3 because it was more emotional than Titanic
