The designers I remember the most: Jay McCarroll (Loved him, Austin Scarlett, Kara Saun (I'm still not sure about the cost of her runway shoes, Wendy Pepper (For all the WRONG reasons, Daniel Vosovic (I adored him and his designs esp the garden party! Beautiful and so much class, Santino (Because of the things he said like You can't polish a trd, Laura Bennett (Pure class! Even Tim Gunn agreed and they became friends, Jeffrey Sebelia (Like Wendy, for all the WRONG reasons, so gross, Kayne Gillaspie (Gowns and more gowns, Michael Knight (So damn talented! RIP sweet man! I'll never forget his Pam Grier design, Christian S. (How fast can this little man sew, Rami K. (The king of draping, Chris March (Loved him! RIP sweet man, Korto, Leanne Marshall (Waves, Mean-a Irina (What a cut throat B. After Season 7 or 8, I lost interest because I got tired of all the drama in the workroom and because of everyone's sad story (everyone's a victim theses days - ugh) - let's just stick to designing, please, and the designers were such freaks that I simply could not look at them.
But who could forget Michael Kors and his one-liners? It literally looked like toilet paper caught in a wind storm. She looks like a transvestite flamenco dancer at a funeral. M. C. Hammer meets vampire pregnant witch. Rigatoni Mad Max. Crazy disco turkey. She's a sad chicken. She's pooping fabric! She's wearing, like, a disco Flintstone pouch. And the most important and profound thing Michael Kors said on the show, Taste is something you just can't learn! I concur, Mr. Kors!

I've been watching reruns of all of the first 16 seasons of Project Runway, and I've realized just how biased they were against the Asian, Hispanic, and Black designers compared to the White designers, especially the critiques from Michael Kors, Zac Posen, and Nina Garcia.
Their critiques were very harsh, downright nasty, and disrespectful at times.
I also feel they ripped the win out from under Emilio Sosa and Edmond Newton in their fashion week challenges.
Out of all the 16 seasons, there has been one person of color that won the fashion week challenge and that was Dom Streater; there hasn't been any other person of color to win a Project Runway challenge since Dom Streater, and they've had some great designers that were of color on the show.
They were extremely critical of the Black male designers on the show. damn near tearing them down. TMO!

this is irrelevant to the show, but does anything know the name of this fashion themed tv show where they did runway of transformative clothings? like they made a skirt transform into pants(cant exactly remember which transformed into wat, it was something like that tho) it wasn't overly fancy overtop ones, but they made it so that itscould be actually used for common wear n people to rly buy the clothing line. i was rly young when this came on tv maybe about 10 yrs over more ago, but the show might've been older if it was a re run. pls let me know if u guys know which tv show I'm talking about

Daniel Vosovics dress made out of flowers should have been one of the 10 best, at least should have made honorable mention. Daniel is my favorite designer from Project Runway. Of course there are many good designers from this reality show like Jay Carroll, Christian Siriano, Austin Scarlett and Chris March, just to name a few. I love Tim Gunn and really miss him on the show, but Christian is doing a very good job and has really come into his own as a top designer who will design for anyone no matter their size.

I remember the first time I watched the episode with the umbrella dress. The winner of the episode was supposed to be Kini, the design and sewing of that dress is gorgeous, who is skilled enough to sew something like that? However, they didn't win him alone, he won with Sean. Ok Sean's idea was nice but it definitely can't compare to Kini's dress.

Sean's dress looked HORRID after it got wet! It looked like a homeless woman wore it to sleep, rolled around in it a bit in a puddle of piss, then wore it non stop for, oh, a month or so. And this bunch loved it! Talk about an emperor with no clothes! HIDEOUS!

The number one dress didn't even belong on this list. Neither did the finale looks. I'm always a fan of the unconventional material looks. Those are the ones when you can really tell whether or not someone is a true artist or not.

I would love to see a Project Runway/Face Off smash up an out of his world fashion show. Face Off would create the aliens and Project Runway would do the fashion. I know it would never happen but it's still a cool idea.

My favorite wasnt shown. It was an earlier season were the designers had to use duct tape. One designer made a pants outfit with a woven belt that was absolutely stunning! I think I remember the colors were black and turquoise.

The rain dresses. I could watch the white dress turn into colors many times. The umbrella dress bet it was catching all the rain water in those folds. Very uncomfortable for the model. Austins galaxy dress blew me away

I remember watching the Christian/Chris beige tulle explosion and immediately realizing that Christian would be a big success in fashion. And damn he sure has proven himself since

Austin Scarlett was an amazing artist. I loved his creations! Plus I loved the show he did with Santino where they collaborated on various projects as they drove through Texas.
reply

Of course, Christian Siriano and Christopher's dress. I still remember it and their collaboration. The rain dress with dye. Loved it, and Austin Scarlett's lit up dress!
reply

Umbrella dress ugly and he still uses it in All Stars while snowing and trashing other designers. I guess his ugly behavior makes me not like anything he does now
reply

Christian Siriano's and Chris March's (RIP) collab at #2 is one that I always remember, because they had to come up with two looks and they just KILLED it!
reply

Unforgettable and ALWAYS comes to mind the black umbrella dress, color rain dress, and of course, Syrianos design flawlessly embossed in my mind sheer genius
reply

REALLY! that's your number one pick? I don't think there any fan out there who would have picked that dress as their favorite or even in their top 10!
reply

The just-add-water white sundress was beautiful and SO dramatic! The way the colors spread was something no one else was able to match.
reply

I am so happy that the gold seatbelt coat was mentioned. I still think she should have won that challenge. The candy dress is awesome too!
reply

Christian's finale feather extravaganza dress should've been number one. Timeless but definitely not dated or corny like Austin's dress.
reply

There was a girl that did a gown with bleats wave of pleats! I didnt see her or her dress she was a winner! Before or with Christian.
reply

Mondo + design mixing prints is his style. Mostly all of them I like in PR, thats positive awareness dress was my favorite.
reply

I love the white dress that rains color. Of all the designs of every episode of every season this is the most creative.
reply

I think that white dress which changed colour in the rain so unique. I remember it after so many years. Forgot others
reply

Korto really made an imprssion on me, I never forgot her
I also remembered the candy dress with the gummy sharks

reply

I am watching the All Stars season with Mondo. I forgot just how much I disliked him during his regular season. Ugh
reply

I vote for Christopher Palu's Rose cocktail dress. So ethereal, it looked like it would float off her body.
reply

The dress that bled color! He should have won- who ever ever ever even conceived such a thing! Magical
reply

Sean Kelly's rain dress will forever be in the PR hall of fame! Honorable mention to his blue fringe dress
reply

Sonjie's Candy Couture dress was really creative. Sean & Kini with those rain dresses were game changers.
