Id have to go with Steve because he really loved Miranda and he was not afraid to call her in her BS. He was the type of person she needed. He was always there for her even when she kept trying to push him away and she finally realized that it wasnt BS.
After that, it would be Smith because even though she tried to push him away, he was there for her and he could stand toe-to-toe with her even though he was younger.
Harry would be next. He really loved Charlotte and showed her what kind of man she really needed.
Aiden was too good for Carrie and her self-centered ways. He couldnt give her the type of lifestyle she wanted and was accustomed to even though, to be honest, she didnt have the money. She go lucky because of her friendships and associations.
Big- A lot of people feel he just led her on, but in my opinion, he really didnt. She knew how he was but refused to see or believe it. He was older, had already been married once before she met him and then he married Natasha and cheated on her with a Carrie. I believe after his heart attack and after he moved to California, that somewhere, he realized he had to get it together and realized he did love Carrie. Berger was telling the truth about men, if they like you, they will show it. If they want to be with you, they will be with you. You do have those who do send mixed signals, but the majority dont. A man knows you are the one within the first few months. But I digress. But Carries still shoes her selfish ways once she finally marries Big by kissing Aiden when they were in Abu Dabi and being upset because Big was more comfortable staying in the house with her and just being. She still wanted to go out and do the town. Of all the characters, shes the only one who didnt move during the entire series and she had the least growth. Sh ran off to Paris with Alexander on a whim and then didnt like it when she got her because he was busy with his work. She already knew that though.

To be honest I never really liked Aiden because he just seemed so desperate to hold on to a relationship with two completely different people. He could have done so much better and should have walked away and never looked back after the first time.

Samantha should have at least gotten an honorable mention for helping Smith with his play when they first got together! There was one thing I noticed about this list pretty quickly. Almost all of the major cast/boyfriends made an appearance for something they did, even if it's for something small, like Samantha meeting Smith's needs through hand holding. The glaring exception is Carrie. Even the crappy boyfriends like Richard and Petrovsky had their moments, but Carrie was so self involved, she was always the recipient, not the giver. Someone explain why she was the star of the show?

Charlotte converting kinda bothered me. My husband is Jewish. I told him on our first date I wouldn't be converting. I needed to know upfront if it was a deal breaker. (Although, in the show they went from just sleeping together to getting married) However, I think for some people changing religion isn't a big deal. What if Charlotte had said, sorry I don't feel comfortable becoming Jewish? Would Harry have changed his mind? Or would they have gone on to marry other people?

9 always makes me cry lots. I hated Aidan. He was subversively manipulative. I think Steve and Smith are the best. Harry is the best husband. Big to me spent the entire series becoming a better person as did Carrie. That was the point in my opinion. They had to be 'ready' for each other. So Big is still my favourite for the growth he showed.

I like both Smith and Harry, so I would say that Smith is the best boyfriend of SATC while Harry is the best husband) And Charlotte's character is pretty similar to mine, I really believe that I can find my true love and Charlotte's story always inspires me and gives me hope that soon I will meet my Harry)

There are a lot of comments talking about Carrie being selfish and unromantic. I would just like to bring up the time that she nursed Big back to health after his heart surgery. That was pretty sweet and romantic considering that she really had no obligation to do that.

I think the most romantic Carrie- mr Big scene is when he is about to leave NYC, he talks about his parents and they dance. I know flying to Paris to get her back is more dramatic but the dance scene is more down to earth and intimate.
