1. John Smith singing If I Never Knew You. The first verse is literally based on their encounter, confirming hes been madly in love with her ever since he looked at her. The second emotes how he used to view anyone different from him, and he knows deep down she doesnt regret meeting him either, then he actually thanked her for saving him from himself, the lost forever literally unknowingly refers to her dream with the compass. Honestly a part of me kinda wished it was just him singing instead, but this is also his way of saying despite this isnt the ending he wanted its ok and hes ready to die. Id rather die tomorrow, than live a hundred years without knowing you and You never will, no matter what happens to me Ill always be with you forever Also the conversation before is so beautiful when she says Im so sorry. He so sweetly responded For what? This? Giving a dont worry about me feel, as he doesnt fault her for ANYTHING that happened, because shes been worth it, both the good and bad, and he loves her no matter what happens, and doesnt even want to think about a life without her in it. When he is released, the way hes looking at her is so beautiful as he was so terrified of losing her, and his embrace showed he was never letting her go again. The fact he actually had the choice to let her father be killed just proves how much he changed, knowing the bullet would probably kill him. Plus in the end he loved her so much he respected her decision to stay with her people instead, despite deep down I feel he was sadder about their separation than her, knowing full well theyd probably NEVER see each other EVER again. I have yet to see another Disney couple let each other go, not including Beast because Belle came back in like 2 hours or Flynn giving up his miracle to save Rapunzel as her tears revived him.
2. Flynn Rider taking Rapunzel to the lights. The entire scene is probably the most magical scene in ANY movie, honestly Im pretty mad they didnt kiss, THEN he noticed his comrades. Also him giving up his one miracle to save her knowing it would kill him Also in the series he is so patient when she isnt ready to get married.
3. Hercules jumping into the Stix River to revive Meg. The fact the river nearly killed him is chilling, and technically Hades couldve allowed Meg to be revived THEN Hercules is forced to stay in the Underworld forever. Also the fact he gave up being a freaking god, Meg cant ever complain
4. Philip fighting Malificent. While its kinda weird he was ready to give up EVERYTHING just to be with a girl he spent 5 minutes with, seeing hes known his whole life he has a duty as a prince. I still cant get over how fairytale like it is, I mean without the fairies helping him he wouldve become lunch. Honestly Im kinda surprised Malificent didnt actually fly. The very moment she screamed Now oh prince you shall deal with me and all the powers of hell! and turned into a freaking dragon he had the most terrified look on his face, but chose to fight anyway
5. Naveen willing to marry Lottie to make Tianas dreams come true. This is coming from a playboy who just wanted a luxurious life but in the end is willing to marry someone he doesnt love or particularly like to help Tiana. The fact Lottie thought she fell with the real Naveen the entire time, but in the end deep down knew Tiana and Naveen loved each other, she wishes them all the happiness, giving up her dream to become a real princess. Also Tiana not giving into Faciliers temptation despite seeing Naveen about to marry Lottie.
6. Shang letting go of Mulan. In the sequel he didnt want her falling in the river with him to their deaths so he let go. They even had a few spats over different things but eventually accepted each other with their differences.
7. Kovu refusing to attack Simba. He was raised in hatred to kill Simba, but because of Kiaras tomboy personality it softened his heart. I mean he even agrees to go back with her even after Simba publicly shamed and exiled him with animals throwing rocks and scorning him.
8. Beast saving Belle from the wolves and in the sequel almost being trapped under the ice. The wolves he literally roared at her, but chose to go after her, and she had the chance to go home to her dad. The ice, she literally ends up falling in, I think the rope holding the tree even wraps around her, and if he hadnt gone after her she wouldve either drowned or easily froze to death. Plus in the end he ends up allowing Christmas, plus the ending scene he gave her a rose as a present is so beautiful
9. Kristoff just being there for Anna. Despite I dont get how they became a couple in the end, I personally feel he wasnt falling in love for her, just making sure she didnt die. But in the sequel he just cant find the right time to propose and even feels kinda useless, but his quote My love isnt fragile

Well. _technically, _ John Smith isn't a Disney _prince. _ He's a sea captain, at best in rank to compare to prince. If you want my opinion, I think John Rolfe is a bit more like a prince than Smith. Before he turned his position away, he became lord advisor to the royal court. Plus, he looked pretty classy and noble in his diplomatic uniform, Hunt Ball suit, and lord advisor outfit. Diplomat seems a bit closer to royalty than sea captain. It is pretty noble and Princy how he and Smith both ride horses and wield swords though.
Speaking of princes and their swordsmanship, would anyone be interested in making a video starring Prince Charming and Handsome Sir. Shrek, in battle? I'm talking about putting them in the Johns' positions during the battle on the Armada (from Pocahontas 2. Charming as Smith, of course, since they look so darn similar, and Shrek as Rolfe. Besides, both blond princes lose their princess to another man (Rolfe and Shrek. Instead of Ratcliffe and his soldiers sailing to Virginia to battle and destroy the Indians for their gold, it's Lord Farquaad and his knights, sailing to Far Far Away to battle and destroy the royal knights for their king's realm. Farquaad really wants to be king, as does Prince Charming, so that's Farquaad is trying to dominate FAA and why Charming is trying to stop his competition (which is why they duel later like Smith and Ratcliffe. Shrek and Fiona (who, yes, is human too, like Pocahontas) didn't know Charming's real intentions, since theirs is to save Fiona's family and hometown. That's why they are working _with_ Charming when they board Duloc's ships. Charming learns he hasn't won Fiona's heart with his noble work, let alone his chances to rule FAA; this represents Pocahontas choosing Rolfe over Smith. Maybe have Charming and Shrek duel then. Also, Donkey the stallion (Charming's ride, Puss in Boots, and Gingy are helpers in the battle too, in replacement of Meeko, Flit, and Percy. If anyone is interested, please let me know, and _do_ ask questions for clarification.

Heres a another good example. Mowgli protects Shanti from Shere Khan - The Jungle Book 2. Though its not everyones favorite Disney film, its one of my favorites, although looking back on it as an adult, I do see its flaws. Any-who, back to the movie, reason I consider this a romantic gesture is because even though the relationship isnt totally obvious, deep down, we all know that Mowgli and Shanti are crushin on each other. Plus, during the scene where Shere Khan has the group cornered at an ancient ruined temple, Shantis hiding spot gets reviled and Shere Khan is about to kill Shanti. But Mowgli comes outta his hiding spot, sacrificing himself. And not to mention, he even helped her overcome her fear of the jungle. If thats not romantic, I dont know what is.

Finally Eugene is 1st, I couldn't agree more he's the best male Disney character.
Apart from the most romantic Disney scene (the boat scene) he, what's even more precious and romantic, sacrificed himself for her by cutting her hair and giving her freedom meanwhile losing his only chance to heal, but he wanted be sure that she'll be safe because he loves her that was his goal to came the tower then. Some people say that he could've waited until she healed him. He couldn't because Gothel definitely'd have pulled her away from him immediately and he didn't even know how fast that cut worked on Gothel. It shows how he loved Rapunze, that's true love.

Ok so we can all agree that mulan 2 is one of the worst sequels but what shang did for mulan deserved a spot at least in the honorable mentions because he gave up his life (although he lived) so that she could have her life and the princesses could fill their duties (although mulan let them out) but that's one of my favorite scenes of Disney. Also why would you tease us with Jack and sally and not put it on the list! I mean it was a very special moment in their story.

The list has the correct number one so, I'm more than content. That being said, if I were to nitpick. I feel that Phillip should have been above Snow White's prince. Florian literally isn't in the movie and stumbles across a dead chick lying in the forest. It's more creepy than romantic if we're being honest. Phillip at least meets Aurora and falls for her and THEN fights a freaking magic dragon. Still, I'm content with Eugene and Rapunzel, so whatever LOL.

8: 26 As a child, I fell in love, as I loved to read. It had nothing to do with his looks, as my child mind had no concept of what it meant. Giving her the library when he discovered her love of books was the most romantic thing I'd ever seen and when he turned human. I cried because I liked him better when he was the 'beast'. lol.

While I too would love to be given a huge library I feel like you shouldve put down the Beast letting Belle go. Or even his fight with Gaston. He wants to give up because he thinks Belle doesnt love him. But once he realizes she does love him he starts fighting Gaston

3: 06 Ah, I kinda thought the most romantic thing he did was jump out a window for her. Just yeeted himself right out. Find you a man that will yeet out a window when he's forbidden to take another step down the stairs and you are very lucky. (Especially if he survives)

To me any kissing of a sleeping/dead person is pretty creepy, not romantic. If they're sleeping it's rapey. If they're dead. it even grosser. Yuck. Never liked that part in Snow White or Sleeping Beauty and they're two of my least favorite Disney films.

I'm sorry, does this list seriously think that the Prince Florian (from Snow White) kissing a practically dead girl in the middle of the woods is more romantic than literally singing an ORIGINAL LOVE SONG about her to her?

I don't think Robert waking Giselle or the prince waking Snow White should be considered romantic - kissing someone who's asleep without consent is considered rather creepy

John smith was just doing the right thing when he took the bullet. He's a great guy for it but could we really consider that a romantic gesture.
