Umm. I had no problem with feeling sympathy for Sam and Dean when they lost their mother for a second time. Especially since I know what it's like to lose a parent. I did, however, find it extremely difficult to like or even tolerate Dean during that storyline. He became downright insufferable, and I feel that Dean and his character arc were both ruined by the writers. I even wonder if Andrew Dabb had it in for Jensen Ackles and the character he portrayed. Because of Dean's horrible treatment of Jack (starting from the moments after Jack's birth, I lost a great deal of respect and love for the character.
Thank you, Andrew Dabb and the writers, for destroying Dean. You must be very proud of yourselves.
Also, Sam and Dean weren't trying to close the gates of Heaven. They were trying to close the gates of HELL. It's very obvious that the person who wrote the script for this video either couldn't be bothered to pay attention to season 8, or they couldn't be bothered to proofread their own material.
By the way, it was Castiel who thought he was going to close the gates of Heaven so things could be settled between the angelic factions.

My list is 5) season 2
4) season 1
3) season 4
2) season 3 and this is just because there where still the precense of the just hunting things, family business stuff and also funniest seasons like the mystery spot or the curse object rabbit foot episode and chrishmes special and i think no one gives this season enough love and lastly there were the stackes that dean going to hell so its my number #2.
But easily season #5 is the best one, lucifer rising, dean going back in time seeing lucy in sams body and ofc the ending that sam sacrifice himself and dean getting the happy ending, having family and stop hunting, so thats why i dislike season 6 because it took everything back what sam and dean did with 4, and 5 seasons.
Rest of the series up to 8-13 is quality as well lucifer dying finally. But seasons 6 and 7 is the most lowpoint in the series with season 15 as well being a mess. Dean dying like the 100 time didn't feel like it should have.

I would make a feature length film that took place after the events of Season 5 as an epilogue. Seasons 1-5 have a specific tone that defined the show. It was scary, it was dark, it was heartwarming and it had STEAKS.
There would be no End of the world or grand scale scenario You cant outdo the final steaks of season 5, so you tell a personal story.
The movie would address a 20 year time gap of Dean living his life with his new family and legitimately being happy, but is repressing his inner darkness regarding Sams fate in Hell, meanwhile Sam being trapped in the spirit realm on earth with other nasty ghosts. He was pulled from Hell due to his heroic sacrifice. Both Sam and Dean cant move on until they accept their Fates.
Somehow I want to make this happen one day.

I stopped watching this show about 8 hours ago I beleive. Not because I didn't like it but I was binging on Netflix and I believe they were only up to season 9 or 10. I made it halfway through season 7 before I fizzled out cuz let's be honest there's a lot of episodes to binge from the beginning lol. I tried it again a few years later, 2016 I think, and literally made it just as far. Well here I am now April 2021 trying again but this time I was smart lol. I've been skipping around episodes, about 7 or 8 depending, then pop over to the next season. Usually the first couple and the last couple as I remember most of what happened. Finishing up season 6 now then once I get to season 7 ima just start everything beginning to end so I don't miss anything.
Though that said, this list has me worried that the last seasons aren't good lol

I'd have liked MUCH less (maximum 5 episodes each) of the Leviathans (all of season 7! But at least we got Charlie, the British Men of Letters, and apocalypse world. I struggled to stay interested for the too drawn-out stories. Sometimes lots of detail is good, sometimes it's just too much. The later seasons could've definitely used more regular monster hunts too. They kinda stopped doing them.
I also could've used more Gabriel and original Death.

Do people really not like season 7? I love that season. There wasnt much character growth for Sam or Dean but there was a lot with Meg and Cas. The dynamic between Sam and Lucifer is also interesting. I can see why people didnt like the big bad being leviathan tho. I think it was a light hearted season, even though Bobby dies, because of all the funny moments.

The first 5 seasons were so good, especially seasons 3 and 4. I really like season 10 though so it would knock season 1 out of the top 5 for me. Demon Dean and the Mark of Cain Dean was such a good arc imo and it was the season that we got to see Claire for the first time since S4. God, I loved season 10

Wow season 15 is one of my favorite seasons for me the goods far out way the bads over all I enjoy the season and the series finale is incredible one of the best I've ever seen fyi side note for me the 2 greatest series finales I've seen are vampire diaries and supernatural just my opinion

I loved and still love it all all the characters all the episodes all the seasons and greatful they worked so hard for us all and brought us so many good times and sad times. We laughed we cried we screamed. Dean scream from the episode when the cat jumps out of the locker. That was scary.

My guy said season 6 no 12 wow. sesson 6 was scary af unpredictable af and had cool new monsters like dragons arachni hybrid ones and many alphas all that while sam was an absolute monster without a soul and castiel was working with the King of hell. like come on for me easy top 5
