Top 10 Most Uplifting Movies of All Time Ok Ms. Mojo you need to completely rethink your choices. I do agree with Shawshank redemption, Little Miss sunshine, legally blonde, school of rock, and its a wonderful life. But the other movies you really need to think about replacing them with movies that ACTUALLY make people happy. You left off these movies: Almost Famous, Bringing Up Baby, Ferris Bullers Day Off, Harvey (the Jimmy Stewart one, and Its a Beautiful Day in the neighborhood. I would recommend you redoing your list because its missing some KEY MOVIES that ACTUALLY MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY SERIOUSLY\r\n

The only movie I feel like did not deserve a spot on this list was Love, Simon. I felt so much anger with the way Simon's friends reacted when he was outed. Instead of showing understanding over the fear of being outed, they were angry at him. Yet for some idiotic reason Simon decides to keep on being their friends. My man's Simon deserved better friends. In the end of the movie I did not really feel uplifted.

When it comes to Paddington 2, the prison is the reason I can't properly enjoy it, because it's just too much asking me to accept the prison becoming what it does.
It literally becomes like a hotel. Prison isn't supposed to be horrible, bit it IS supposed to be PUNISHMENT not time off.
That was just asking me to suspend my disbelief way too much

Miracle. If you were only going to put one sports movie on the list, it definitely should have been Miracle. Not only is it a wonderful and uplifting movie, when you realize that it actually happened makes it even better. Given the hate and discontent towards the U. S. A. right now, this movie really makes me feel good about my country.

I dont neccesarily agree with all the choices but you have a number of good ones. But I need to point out you make a big deal about not sharing the ending of The Shawshank Redemption but then turn right around and give away the key moment we've waited for in Sense and Sensibility. You're very inconsistent.

I really liked The secret life of Walter Mitty its great! I remembered watching just 5 mins of it and stopping it at first because I thought it was going a fantasy route but then I gave it a shot and it was amazing, an uplifting and inspirational adventure movie indeed!
reply

No. just no. Pursuit of Happyness is NOT uplifting. It's a movie about a man neglecting his kid for a selfish crackpot dream of being a stockbroker. I don't care if he got the job. that kid needs therapy!

The lord of the rings inspires me more than any movie. Sams osgiliath speech, the ride of the rohirrim and the beatiful music like into the west and may it be are all about finding hope and inspiring us

I was so happy to see Sense and Sensibility mentioned, there is so much joy in that movie. And if you like period pieces, Enchanted April is a wonderful movie that just warms your heart.

Paddington and its Sequel is kind of movie that I thought will be just a cheap trash comedy just like most of live action adaptation.
But boy oh boy did I got it wrong

SPOILER: I thought Forrest Gump had a downer ending? With the Lady dying of aids or something? Also you guys should totally do a video about this same topic but with books

Amelie, Hunt for the Wilder People, Remember the Titans, Billy Elliot and the Blind Side should be on your next list, this was a really good video, I liked the choices.

Mamma Mia is one of my favourite movies. I watched it about a hundred times and still love to watch it. It always makes me so happy. The music and story is just so good.

I was going to be super mad that Shawshank wasn't number one, then I saw what number one was and tears almost came to my eyes seeing the bathroom scene, so yeah lol
reply

Amelie should have been much higher. the film is so beautiful, full to the brim of small pleasures. Cause that's the sweetest part of life, the small pleasures.
reply

the fact that you put Paddington on 10 broke my heart. But also I hope that some new people can watch it after this video bc Paddington movies are sooo underrated

So Legally Blonde and School of Rock are according to the Mojo franchise, thematically problematic, but also according to the Mojo franchise, still inspirational?
reply

Forrest Gump had to be on this list. I would of added Wonder (2017, Peanut Butter Falcon (2019, and even throw in a pixar film of some sort.
reply

While Dead Poets is super sad it's also one of my favorite movies because I watched it at a point in my life where it struck a chord
reply

The character is based on a real person. who attended the same high school as i did growing up (no I will not mention it here)
reply

Don't remember the pursuit of happiness being uplifting. Only remember it being miserable at least most of the way through.
reply

Remember the Titans and Mr Hollands Opus are some pretty uplifting movies too. I feel like you can make a part 2 of this list.
reply

What about Babe? Possibly the most uplifting, heart-warming movie of all time and it didn't even get an honorable mention?
reply

Ooh I love school of Rock and legally blonde. Btw I'm one of the 5 people globally who haven't seen Shawshank redemption!
reply

I teared up when I saw Forrest Gump. I remembered how it helped me when I was young. I watched it many many times already.
reply

Paddington came out when I was 15, no2 came out when I was 18, both were seen in the cinema with my 60 year old father
reply

I was so hoping not to see Forrest Gump. It has so many toxic messages about disability and disabled people.
reply

Can you do something similar but with TV shows, like a Top ten most uplifting tv shows list? Thatd be amazing
reply

I may get hated on for this, but when Pursuit of Happiness popped up, I was honestly expecting Rocky.
