I remember in my early childhood watching a movie about a child dance group and i remember a lot of the songs lyrics. one has hey i'm in the pocket, backroom door you're never gonna fly, if you're afraid to fall and another one has soup up mind your p's and q's, sit up straight or you'll get no food. if you gotta burp keep it under your shirt. full of gas? get it over with fast!
There was also the song splish splash in it with a scene of a rich man in a mansion. hope someone knows this! desperate to find it

I knew I was going to comment immediately after the Happy Feet clip. The narrator said Mumble was comparable to Fred Astaire, but did not mention that the illustrious, revolutionary and world renown tap dancer Savion Glover is the one who did his motion capture tap dancing! What. so from then on I was not surprised by what did and didn't make the list and why. (Not the only absurdity, but You got served being honorable mention is ridiculous)

I am so sick and tired of Take The Lead not getting the clout and recognition it deserves. I will never forget that iconic three person tango. You Got Served only got honorable mention and also How She Move. Happy Feet made the list but they didn't. Something ain't right about that. Take The Lead deserves so much more. Honey was way too far down the list. Only #9. Honey made the way for Stomp The Yard.

Some of my fav dance moments came from these movies- Hairspray's Finale, Save the Last Dance's 2nd Audition Dance, and yeah, Center Stage's Student Show Case. Center Stage also taught me something that was hard to learn- you can have all the talent in the world for something, but if you don't have the heart for it, it's not going to make you happy.

Some of my fav dance moments came from these movies- Hairspray's Finale, Save the Last Dance's 2nd Audition Dance, and yeah, Center Stage's Student Show Case. Center Stage also taught me something that was hard to learn- you can have all the talent in the world for something, but if you don't have the heart for it, it's not going to make you happy.

Bruh between Ms. Mojo and Watch Mojo why yall gotta put You Got Served as an honorable mention. I swear they dont respect this movie or give it the credit it deserves forreals. Take the Lead should have gotten a place on this list besides an honorable mention, but I wasnt expecting Happy Feet to be on this list so that was a nice surprise!
I think the first dance movie I remember watching was Save the Last Dance and to this day it is still one of my all-time favorites

Take the lead and Shall we dance inspired me to take ballroom lessons 13 years ago and its still my favorite hobby. Too bad you didn't mention Mad about Mambo about a guy in Belfast who takes latin ballroom dance lessons hoping it will make him a better soccer player.

At Lot of this list feels like it was built on nostalgia over which movies actually had the best dancing if you looked at it today. I loved saved the last dance and honey at the time but being real the dancing is cringey to look at today.

Why isn't Hairspray and Happy Feet number 1 and 2 slot. Also Burlesque, and Annie should be included in this list. Their was dancing in some scene. Toss up which one would have number #1 slot. Love these movies

Unpopular opinion: Julia Stiles did NOT nail the final dance audition. Her facial expression did not change the entire time! I could buy her as a ballet dancer. As a hip hop dancer, not so much.
