Just a quick side view opinion after watching the entire Hey Arnold series. It should be noted that Bob was not actually a bad father. Though he obviously favored Olga, and he may have come off as sort of a dick head every now and then, Bob did actually show his daughter Helga attention (with the draw back of sometimes misnaming her Olga. Some examples of this is when he bought her the snow boots she asked for on Christmas (he remembered. The time he took her camping (obviously he wanted to bond with her. When they spent the entire day shopping and Helga expressed her feelings to him, he listened with a whole heart and talked to her. It should also be noted that Bob refers to Arnold as an Orphan and often looks down upon him, as he is well aware of Helgas infatuation with him, and as a man who can relate, this is more than likely because he wants better for Helga. In the episode where Olga is depressed, notice that Helga wants everything Bob offers to Olga including going with him to places and events, what's interesting about this is that Helga isn't even into any of the stuff he offers, but because she loves her dad, she wants to be with him any chance she gets. Also throughout the series, wherever Bob is, Helga is right behind her, so the two actually do spend alot of time together. Bob does have his flaws, but he does love Helga, ironically despite him being a busy business man and his pride over Olga, Bob is actually there for Helga. On top of that, Helga always goes to her Dad when she needs help, and he always provides what he can. Oh and one last thing, in the episode where the kids dress up as martians, Bob was aggressively searching for Helga and when he did find her, he expressed love in his own way for her. So we should all give Bob some slack, the mom however. Yeah she's an alcoholic but she's been there and I think her is that she feels under developed, as her whole persona changed when she substituted for Bob as the Beeper Queen.

For me there are two Nickelodeon facts that, while they didn't ruin me, made me sad.
1. The final episode of Roundhouse is dedicated to the memory of Dominic Lucero, a cast member who appeared in season 1 and some of season 3. He died of cancer before the finale aired.
2. The winner of Guts All-Stars, Jana The Warrior Waring, became a paraplegic 5 years later after a stunt went wrong during a show at Sea World Orlando.

Alot of kids showed talk about Jewish holidays very few talk about being Muslim tho I never got jealous of shows like Arthur max and Ruby Caillou etc when they talked Easter or Christmas in some way I'm proud to celebrate eid twice a year we get presents and decorate the house with balloons and steamers have a big meal and pray don't be afraid of your background

Blimey. I didn't know Hey Arnold had its own Rick Sanchez for kids! Because I rarely watched any Hey Arnold myself. It's quite rare for any kids' program to represent a depressed alcoholic. It's even rarer for a kids' program to represent a pedophile. Those are the biggest no-no. July 19, 2020, 4: 32am

Lol the Dan Schneider's Exit is way deeper than you guys made it. He definitely had a weird foot fetish though. All of his shows had young girls reveal their bare feet. From Amanda show, to Zoey 101, to iCarly you can find clips of these girls showing off their toes. Hollywood is a very dark place!

Would it be cool if there's a new Nickelodeon show same as The Loud House: The Tenaha Tiger House? You know,
1 boy: Jaron Bryant
10 girls: Drew Henry, Ashleigh Head, Kamari Gray, Gracie Martinson, Paige Estes, Jaylynn Durbin, Hunter Collins, Olivia Ford, Addy Duncan, and Kristen Raspberry.

I'm so angry about what happened to Angelique. I love her so much on that show when I was a little kid, and it's disturbing to know what was allowed to happen to her. This and Chris Savino's and Dan Schneider's behavior are the only things on the list that really bother me.
reply

I want to give Angelique Bates a gigantic, loving, hug as both a balm and thank you for the joy she gave me in her run on that show. I had no idea the hell she went through to do it, and that only makes me appreciate having been watching All That at the beginning.

The little girl who voiced Dora should have had Jason Weaver (singing voice of Simba on The Lion King) mother to be her manager because those contracts would have been on point and she would be getting paid til this day just like he is.
reply

The Dan Schneider thing is super disturbing especially when you realize that he used his foot fetish to have young actresses like Miranda Cosgrove film like some very weird feet content for iCarly under the guise of saying feet are funny. BARF!

I know what it's like to be abused as a kid. My biological father had physically, mentally, and verbally abused me until I got away from him at the age of thirteen and I haven't seen or heard from him since.
reply

you should release a new list about this stuff. Jennette McCurdy, who played Sam on iCarly revealed he mother severly abused her for years while she was on the show
reply

2: 40 Huh, I always did think the Temple Guard aspect was iffy since they could appear in any room at any time, so the game was essentially stacked against you.
reply

Legit I didn't get the smoothies. I thought she was clinically depressed and it was just like a comfort food thing like people who eat chocolate.

Childhood? Damn I was like 17 when Nick was first on in the 80s lolz but yeah. I remember seeing an Adam and the Ants concert on our Nickelodeon
reply

I didn't know Angelique Bates endured abuse from her mother while on All That. And the producers told her to keep quiet about it. Shame on them.
reply

I was a 1980s Nickelodeon kid. Most of these shows I've never seen. Though this video kind of makes me want to check out this Rocko cartoon.
reply

Apparently Ms Mojo doesnt know who John Kricfalusi is or doesnt want to really talk about why Dan the foot man Schneider was let go.
reply

Is it bad that I'm slightly relived about the fact that most of these had nothing to do with the episodes of each cartoon?
reply

No surprise Miriam is an alcoholic.
When you think about it the writers secretly slipped in subtle references.

reply

Would it be cool if The Loud House was in The Fairly Oddparents style and Chris Savino is replaced with Butch Hartman?
reply

Nikolodeon was I think aimed more at teen and pre teens so I don't think some of these things were bad things.
reply

dan schnider should be shipped off to snake island, who knows how many of our beloved stars were abused by him

Man, I remember wondering EVERY Saturday when Mandy was gonna return to Cooking with Randy and Mandy.
