Remember kids, the technology in the movies was cutting edge at the time. I was more excited to have a cordless phone than a cellphone, then again I was JUST outside the target audience for the movie. I was 9 when Clueless came out & I was in middle school when the Clueless TV show came out. But when high school came, I definitely was jonesing for one!

It's really not that weird. It's said in the movie that Cher's dad and Josh's mom were married for a short time 5 years earlier, and they haven't really seen much of each other since then. They also didn't like each other and never had a real brother-sister relationship. Personally I think they're perfect for each other. They balance each other out

It could work if they did but again they wouldnt listen to the public like they didnt with the winx saga. Outfits wise it would be ruined again with non imaginative outfits and props etc but with the Y2K obsession these days it could work and they would need a really really good cast to match up to the originals

I think that they should make a sequel, where Cher is the guidance counselor at her old high school, and Josh is running Cher's father's firm, which is in financial straits. Now consciously uncoupled, the two struggle to co-parent their teenage son and daughter, while reentering the dating scene.

Honestly the stepbrother aspect of clueless never creeped me out or anything simply because they didnt live together. And josh is older so its not like they grew up together as siblings. Its pointed out throughout the movie that Cher does not consider Josh a stepbrother.

Paul Rudd could not play a 20 something. He'd look like a huge perv and it would be creepy To Catch a Predator level creepy. I don't think the step-sibling would be a problem now. It's not like they were step-siblings for a long time.
