There is actually a very sad story of Hades I think might be true
So Hades Poseidon and Zeus were deciding who would rule Olympus the sea and the underworld now Hades wasnt a party god he would rather have more seriousness in his kingdom however a party god made its way to Olympus and it was decided he would rule the underworld after a few years he found someone a girl he loved her even though she was mortal however as a prophecy came into action Zeus wanted it to be Poseidons son Percy Jackson so as the building blew into pieces Hades only had time to protect his kids and then his wife was gone. the oracle at that time came over and tried to say about Zeus and he cursed her from that day onward he was evil truly

definitely like scars backstory getting his wound in the book better than him being pretty much born evil(do like the song & the animals having an equivalent to mysticism, kinda prefer the original maleficent's reasons as petty as it is nowadays(but would be rather disrespectful back then without reason) for how vague it is(like what she would've given aurora if invited) and would've instead liked a movie showing her viewpoint like that,
still feel elsa should've been the antagonist as hans felt forced and always felt bad for hook as especially in the original stories peter pan's outright psychotic.

Lotso - Abandoned by the child he loved and forsaken
Captain Hook - mutilated by a child and chased forever by a beast determined to eat him
Hans. His family was mean to him.
Really, MsMojo? REALLY? Also for Scar: the power went to his head and he turned on his lion guard. Not even gonna mention the snake venom making him evil? I mean, yes, he already seemed down with the idea of taking out his brother, but that was still kind of a big part.

reply

While his backstory is heart-breaking, Lotso's actions are inexcusable. He basically enslaved a community (if you consider a daycare full of toys a community, used fear and force to keep people under control, imprisoned those that dared go against him, brainwashed Buzz into becoming his muscle, and we see that he straight up breaks a toy in an implied interrogation. This bear is a flipping dictator, there's no excuse!
reply

So for Scar's origin story (I'm talking about the origin story in The Lion Guard, since A Tale of Two Brothers isn't canon, his older brother makes fun of him when he gets injured and is teased for being ugly. Isn't that just how siblings act? Was the person who wrote that story an only child or something!
reply

The one thing I liked about the live action Aladdin was the interesting parallel between him and Jafar. With Jafar being a former street rat, it opened up a lot of interesting comparisons that couldve led to some great dialogue (although they didnt really focus on that as much as Id like)

9: 12 Me when Im coping with the death of my beloved grandma, whom I was extremely close with, then 9 days later one of my top 3 all time favorite characters on my favorite TV show gets killed off! TALK ABOUT SALT IN THE WOUND! I was scream-crying so damn hard that my throat went raw!

on Hook's past, there's actually an official sequel (choosen by contest) that reveals that he got to neverland after robbing all the trophies in the Etton college one night after he felt abbandoned by his own mother who didn't show up to see him on a special event

The underworld is the most important place in greek mythology and every god knows the highest rank of the gods is the king of the underworld even matching king of Olympus and considering zues tried to fight for the underworld its implied it has more respect

I havent seen Cruella yet but maybe with that explaining her backstory you could revise this list now that theres new information on her
Oooh and maybe the live action Little Mermaid will shed some more light on Ursulas backstory

reply

The funny part about Hercules is that, far from being his mother, Hera was the one to torment Hercules in the myths and the giants rebelled against the gods because they wanted to take over not because any other god incited them to.

For me it has to be the villain from jungle cruise (the other one not the german) showing how far a person would go to save the ones they love and how betrayal and hate is undying
reply

If Ursula was Neptune's sister than he had atleast two sisters because in little mermaid 2, we are introduce to Morgana who is the younger sister of Ursula

3: 53 it wasnt the power that got to his head, it was the venom of the snake that made him evil, cause if you remember, they never said that he got cured
reply

Captain hook was calledd black stache in the novel peter and the starcatchers. He got his hand chopped off and therefore started answering captain hook
reply

Apparently snake venom turns you evil rather than killing you. Thanks Disney, you just made an entire generation of little kids believe that.

Adds to a old saying my family has said:
Villains are made by neglect with no real help to guide them through the darkest of days they we in.

reply

I always felt Maleficent was a tragic character who deserved sympathy & that was before the live action movies. She my fave Disney Villain.
reply

it's how I become a villain
someone throw my chicken nuggets and the sweet and sour sause when I just got one bite with a bit sause

reply

I feel really bad for Frollo. I cant even imagine losing a sibling that I really cared for. To me, the judge is basically a fallen angel.

The lion guard is one of the worst TV show sequels if it even deserves to be called that and you can't change my mind
reply

Ok so no wonder Ursula held a grudge. But that is one of her nieces so that's just cruel no wonder she got #1 on this list
reply

My mom said that when maleficent screamed from waking up without wings, it sounded like she was inappropriately touched.
