The E. T. Movie made me cry as a kid, not due to E. T. 's Death, but his first appearance. This was because I was a very sensitive kid. Anyway, Does anyone remember being Traumatized by The Anglerfish Chase from Finding Nemo (2003? I wasn't traumatized, yet I wanted to bring up one of my personal favorite Chasing Scenes in any movie ever. It has a quiet melody for 48 seconds, then the music immediately gets dark and malevolent when The Anglerfish Reveals Itself. In The Real World, an Anglerfish is a very grotesque sea creature that looks nothing like the one in Finding Nemo. A Real World Anglerfish has beady eyes, a large mouth, and flexible stomach. Their Mating Habits are more surreal than any other. They are the epitome of clingy. The Male uses a scent organ to find a female and bites the Female in their belly, causing the Male to release an enzyme. That dissolves the skin under the bite and fuses the male's mouth to the female's body. This causes the male and female to literally unite. The male gets his food from the female for the rest of his life, and in return, The Female has a ready supply of sperm for whenever she's ready to mate. Pretty Surreal, am I right?

The dip from the movie called: Who framed Roger Rabbit: Acts like acid too kill off some of the toons in the movie that are made by different companies: Disney, and Warner Brothers? (or) is it just one company and not both companies working side by side together? I really think this movie was actually mostly the work of Warner Bros. Because they really put most of the work into the movie. I also think Disney put the Buggy Yellow car into the movie as well to surprise young viewers who were actually watching the movie. Yep definitely mostly Warner Bros. Work though.

This is pretty spot on.
The zombies from Scooby Doo zombie island gave me some nightmares as a kid too.
And this one isnt really a kids movie but I remember watching probably a little too earlier in my childhood due to my older cousins which was Pans Labyrinth and the creature with the eyes on his hands scared the shit out of me

The jabberwocky in the live action Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland and Through the looking glass gave me nightmares for months. I watched it again as an adult to relive my childhood trauma and was astonished at how it really was just a puppet. LOL

terrible frightning for sure any skeletal rasputin from anastasia cruella's head from the dalmatian movie dr facilier from princess and the frog really creepy as well also you would think turning into a donkey from pinicchio you'd think that's creepy
reply

I never wanted to admit it, but the Child Catcher TERRIFIED me!
Also sad fact about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the actors and actress for the Potts Children and Mr. Potts are the only living members of the main cast. Sally Anne Howes died in 2021.

Fantasia I believe was made for an adult audience. Scenes like Night on Bald Mountain and the T Rex killing the Stegosaurus would scare the living daylights out of most children, especially the younger children.
reply

I honestly feel like Night on Bald Mountain is the worst, because of its symbolism. However.
When you showed me a clip from Brave Little Toaster i literally almost turned the video off. The part in the dump--

The boat scene from Willy Wanka still freaks me out after all these years, and when it come to Return to Oz I was one of those kids they used electro shock treatments on so that seen is very traumatic for me.
reply

Coraline scared me so bad I didn't watch it for 14 years after that. I seen it since then. Also the wicked witch went to Sesame Street but it scared the kids so bad that the ep has never aired again.
reply

Glad I wasn't the only one scared by pink elephants in Dumbo, every time I seen it when I was younger I would always looks away, but since I hear the audio, the images would play in my mind; -;
reply

Yeah that Pinocchio scene where the bad little boys get transform into donkeys yeah that was kind of rough for me as a child I had nightmares about that. I was going to transform into a donkey
reply

Oh I am SO glad to see 1985 Alice in Wonderland get some love, its an amazing rendition. And the actress that plays Alice has the perfect mesh between the oddity of Alice and a sweetness.
reply

Transformers the movie where they attack the shuttle from the beginning and Starscream getting blasted by Galvatron.
My little pony the movie where Tempest starts attacking Canterlot.

reply

You know, it's only one scene, and its more just scary than dark, but - Manny's nightmare in Ice age 3. I swear to god, even now I have goosambs just when I am thinking about.
reply

the donkey scene yes, but the murder of that shoe was horrific, simply put it gave me nightmares and I wasn't a kid! Could you imagine what a small child would have felt?
reply

Coraline scared the living shit out of kid me. I remember being so scared of it that I only managed to pick up the courage to rewatch it as a teen a few years later
reply

My mom was/is obsessed with the Dark Crystal
she watches the movie like 2 times every day
But I cant be talking cause Im the same way with the movie IT (2017)

reply

While I agree on the Pinocchio donkey scene, I think the one from the Jonathan Taylor Thomas love action one should have been at least an honorable mention
reply

Coraline made my friend and I cry in the theater to the point where we had to sit on my parents laps- we were like 6 years old and we saw it for my birthday
reply

At around age three, my little brother was inoculated against the horror of the Night on Bald Mountain monster. He always referred to it as the Big Bat.
reply

normally i can argue with a #1 pick, but THE DIP! that scene scared me as a kid, and probably is an aid to something that i cannot stand to this day
reply

I started Kindergarten days or weeks after I watched Matilda in the theater, and I thought they would actually put me in a chockey if I misbehaved.
reply

#9 is pretty scary. The loud noises along with that scary animatronic. It wouldve definitely gave me nightmares as a kid. Im impressed.
reply

My sister was terrified of the donkey scene. I honestly wasn't scared of it. Actually, I wasn't scared of a lot of the things that most kids were.
reply

For The Brave Little Toaster, I never understood why he would be afraid of the clown. I can see that other stuff being his fears, but never that.
reply

In the year 2000 when I was 6 years old I have seen most of those movies and haven't found those scary atoll. So what are you talking about?
