I am so surprised at the overlook of Gentleman Jack in so many categories! The proposal scene with Anne Lister and Ann Walker should qualify for most romantic moment & best proposal- let alone best chemistry between lead characters. And the series actually qualifies in many areas. Hopefully, this is just an overlook or lack of exposure. Gentleman Jack, the creative product of Sally Wainwright, has been nominated for in various categories in the UK, including best dramatic series and Suranne Jones for best actress for the 2021 BAFTA's. I realize that Gentleman Jack has not received the attention it deserves, but there is a HUGE following globally.

Honestly, i think the 'Simon educates Dafne' scene is the most romantic scene.
The confession scene followed by a great first time is so common in movies. An overused trope to be honest. though it was beautifully shot.
But this one scene in particular is what is my biggest take away from this show. The comfort, the tension, the angst. Its perfection.

After Daphne raped him and the show made no attempt of saying 'in the 1810s this wasn't thought as wrong but it is' but instead went oll Poor Daphne all the romanticism evaporated.
Plus, it's hard to enjoy escapist romance when you're not allowed to take part in it, as racism is over in Bridgerton but homophobia is alive and well.

Penelope Fetheirngton is so toxic! Why does she get a free pass in her hateful Lady Whisteldown alter ego where she uses intimate information to throw loved ones under the bus. What she did to her cousin Marina is awful and her loving the same 'boy nexxt door' doesn't excuse that humiliating breach of confidence.

What's romantic in this show, is the fact that, Simon was the first and one only, to teach her the relationship in between women and men, one by one, step by step. He respects that, she has no idea about the relationship and teaches her everything slowly slowly. It's the most romantic part of the show for me.

This is a work of fiction. Yet so many viewers are embracing it like it's a documentary. Remember the producer is Shonda Rimes. who portrays what she wants on TV. And where and when were there aristocrats of color in England? Have people forgotten the England's crimes of humanity all over the world?

I liked all the romantic scenes, but if I have to pick one, it would be when Simon went to Daphne and said that he realized that he did not want to be alone. They decided to work it out together and it resulted in Simon planting his seed in her. This was the perfect ending. Bridgerton is great.

When you think about it, taking out editing it out the PG parts this becomes a reimagined latest Pride and Prejudice kinda series that surely is for all audiences. XD it's a literal romance. Imagine the scope they'd hit if they'd also edit it to a PG version and take the sensual scenes out.

That guy is really hot but this show has zero historical/period feel into it. It looks like rich American kids trying to copy European aristocrats with cheap costumes bought from Ali Express. I mean no offense, but any other period piece in motion picture handled that atmosphere way better

I think the coolest scene was their wedding night/ Daphne's first time. Just because Simon was so respectful and gentle and actually asked for her consent. Also they made the scene look very intimate. And then the final ball, I was smiling the whole time like a jackass

I wished netflix did wedding scene exactly like the one from the book. It was one of my favourite and it was romantic and heart warming especially after Lady Whistledown wrote about it in her column. I know it would have made this list in my opinion.

I love the speech that Simon gives to the queen, it is my absolute favorite. I'm missing the scene when they pose for the painting, and they look at each other. The love and devotion in their eyes hits me every time.

Lowkey a really romantic subplot was when Simon told off Berbrook (on multiple occasions) for disrespecting Daphne. You could see from the start just how much Simon respected Daphne as a woman.

I like the dining scene after their huge fight. Eventhough they have terrible fight the night before, Simon make sure to let her know that she's still his wife.

best moment is when they are in bed end of episode 6 madly going at it, and Daphne turns the table by getting on top and riding Simon into oblivion!

My favorite with Daphne and Simon is the dance at the end of episode 1. They looked like love right then and there.

Does the part where Daphne rapes Simon count? It was marvelous in the book, glad to see it on screen too
