In 2018 in high school, my class did I guess you could say our own version of The Addams family (Im saying this because we did add some things that never wouldve worked in the original. Also I think the play was mostly based on the movie from the 90s) The reason why we added our own scenes was for the sake of comedy. For example during a scene where the family tries to bring back dead people to life, one of the guys dressed as Freddy Mercury and sang Dont stop me now.
I was playing the role of Wednesday and my friend was playing Morticia.
One of our teachers who was playing the role of Thing stood behind a black curtain so you could only see her hand.

Even though John Astin was a hoot as Gomez, what will always remain with me is that recurring stint on Night Court where he would say But then I had the setback with the Cheese Whiz (Pauses, gets look of horror on his face, which several seconds later turns into a smile) But I'm feeling much better now.

It's not common for a franchise to have multiple successful iterations. From the comics, to the TV show, the cartoons, and the (at least 1st 2) movies, each one has been very memorable and truly iconic. We can even add the latest CGI movie version to that!

I had a nice big, lush green field behind my house, where youth played baseball and soccer, but when the high school closed down and re-opened as a public community centre, they tore it all up and put up a parking lot. Now the view is grotesque.

While I wasn't really a fan of The Addams Family (I preferred The Munsters) I can say that Lurch was my favorite character. He made me laugh anytime he was on screen. I think it was that deadpan delivery that did it.

The part about John Astins crazed look is hilarious I'm originally from Brooklyn and I have what I call Brooklyn face. It's permanent now but ot was meant to get people to leave me alone on the bus, train or walking.
