It is clear that the person who made these decisions is not a singer. The many of the songs chosen are extraordinarily easy. She states that Reflection is hard, because of all the high notes, but there are none unless you are an alto. The singer in How Far I'll Go also doesn't have a large range at all. It's only an octave and a half at best. That is not a wide range at all. That said, Friend Like Me, Into the Unknown (really, any of Elsa's solos from Frozen 1 & 2) and maybe a few others I am less familiar with are challenging, but overall, I'm not convinced the person who wrote this knew what they were talking about.

Professional soprano here. I guess I might be looking at technical in a different way. I'd remove some of the songs from this list (7, 6, and 4) and while listening to my Disney playlist and hearing these specific songs I'd replace Zero to Hero with A Star is Born (I think this is a more demanding song) and add Just Around the Riverbend (upbeat tempo, some higher notes toward the end) and Go the Distance Reprise (final note is a long held high note so BIG breath. Just off the top of my head from what I heard from my short listening time. The Idina songs I'd keep on the list because of breath support.

Its always fun to hear musical opinions about technical aspects, difficulties, and other descriptions from non-musically-inclined people that attempt to speak with authority. Part of the reason many songs are seen as difficult is because so many modern singers dont actually know the craft well and arent actually skilled. Some (to many) may have raw talent, but with modern tech, talent isnt even a necessity.

I feel the people compiling this list must have a LOT of difficulty singing anything at all. Some of these are legit, others are only 1 tiny part of the overall piece. ie, any time they focused on only the end note. One note doesn't make the song 'the hardest song to sing'. It makes literally ONE - NOTE hard to sing. The rest of the song isn't hard at all, and neither were most of these, tbh.

This list is so ridiculous. Show yourself is way harder than into the unknown, Out there is actually much harder than bells of notre dame due to the long note holds and switches with little room for a breath, a whole new world should be high up there for jasmine's notes alone, come on it's like you aren't trying to be truly critical anymore.

Some of these songs are easy. Some of them will make you concerned you will wake up one morning to find your vocal chords standing on your chest holding a poison dagger in one hand a contract outlining what music is acceptable to sing in the future and what isnt. I suggest you just sign the contract.

Im sorry but I really dont see how these songs are hard to sing me and my friends can sing all these songs and were only in 8-9th grade and we have a 6th grader that can sing these songs I dont mean any disrespect but I just wanted to say this sorry if it sounds a little rude

I don't believe songs are hard to sing. They can be hard to sing WELL, meaning hitting high notes and everything. But just singing for fun and not trying to do it perfectly isn't hard. Props to anyone who can actually train their voice in that way, I don't think I could.

MsMojo, I've sung most of these songs to nearly standing ovation at karaoke in my day. From my showstopping Reflection, to Almost there, the likes of Colors of the Wind to How Far I'll Go. Being a tenor is indeed wonderful and awe inspiring when done properly.

I don't know if you have an update, but the songs from Encanto are IMO hard to sing because of the inflections and emotion. Try to sing while sounding like your crying as in Waiting on a Miracle. Try to sing while changing emotions quickly as in Surface Pressure.

Most of the songs on this list, in order to sing them correctly you must have years and years of vocal training. I have had two years of training and I still cannot sing most of the times on this list. But I'll still try and sound like I'm dying on the high notes

All Elsa/Idina's songs are hard to sing because they are loud - it's opposite in this aspect, they are dynamically rich requiring fine control of your projection from barely heard start to bright finish, many less experienced vocalists fail exactly that.

There's a trend now in Disney to sing things as fast as humanly possible and stick as many words in there as you can. Examples: Moana (You're welcome) and Encanto (The Family Madrigal. Kids can't learn them because it's just a blur of words now.

I feel like Snow White and Aurora's songs should have made it in simply based on the fact that Snow's style of singing isn't really used much anymore so no one can really sing it like her, and regular people can't even attempt operatic notes.

Hunchback, Mulan and Frog Princess are so underrated. These 3 films have some of my favourite songs out of all the Disney catalogue. God help the Outcasts is definitely up there as well.
