to be fair, runway models aren't chosen for the sake of it being 'attractive' or anything of the sort. A 'standard size' exists which is meant to minimize material needed to make the design to be displayed, facilitate production of the designs, facilitate accessory choice or design, and optimize the look of the item(s) (like how the fabric flows or it's visual weight.
Basically, they are living manikins/clothes hangers. If a designer has the opportunity to work extensively with the models they can opt for personally tailored pieces and with that have more variable looks on the runway. if not, best to stick to the standards and look for a standard model.

So the difference between the body positivity movement in 2020 to present is that they also pushed for healthy eating but in our world the body positivity movement strives to normalize overeating and obesity as acceptable and also want to tell us that we're fat phobic for not being attracted to morbidly obese people.
So I praise the show for appropriately handling those topics but somehow the insanity of our equity movement missed that

I think one serious issue they forgot to mention is about someone that Eddie knew got into gambling. Its from the episode hes got the power during the second season when a comet makes Eddie psychic and he can have these visions to see in the future of his classmates and someone that went to his school makes him pick out a winner for a gambling bet and then Eddie loses his power and gets into trouble.

I really liked how this show handled vegetarianism. 1, it's not a big deal, its just a part of Chelsea. But 2, it affected her all the time, when they were trying to find somewhere to eat. It's very realistic to what it's like to be a vegetarian/vegan/pescatarian/ect. hanging out with your friends. The most unrealistic part was where she ate hot lunch at school lol.

1: 23 The message of this episode is not to discriminate against other cultures, and respect them
Because of a 30-second scene with some nameless extras? No, the message of the episode is clearly not to make assumptions about different cultures, since the main plot is about Raven thinking the guy whos proposing to her is just inviting her to a party.

when I saw True colors, at a young age I was so confused on why black people are looked down upon, and why does it affect them trying to look for jobs. I remember learning about racism, with martin luther king and rosa parks and i thought to myself that obviously black people deserves the same amount of uphold amd respect like anybody else

How exactly was Raven discriminating against that guy? How was that even the message of the episode? Because a few background characters laughed in a scene at the beginning that last like 30 seconds at most?

When I was in school, I was teased for wearing Western boots. Nobody defended my culture. I was also discriminated against in Algebra class, despite doing everything right. No one stepped up to my defense while I was also unrightfully given 8th hrs. Where was the fairness in that!

This show really made me realize a lot of issues. This was amazing for kids my generation to watch. Also Im mad you didnt add the juicer scene to the smoking bit, that was so funny and gross as a kid lol I remember I tried destroying my moms cigarettes by juicing them

I grew up watching Fresh Prince, That's So Raven, The Proud Family and like. damn I really miss that time? what has happened to these shows? diverse forms of entertainment help negate deeply rooted racism from going to new generations.

I'm remember the racist episode so much, they kinda open my eyes i never had contact or pay attention, i cried so much because of that episode and remember very much Raven face after the vision so this episode had bigger impct on me.

Yo man, That's So Raven kept it real, it truly is the kind of show that was of high quality. I'm not speaking based on nostalgia, it really taught great lessons, 5 Finger Discount being my personal favorite of these

The forgot the issue of Divored parents:
They tackled it when Rae had a vision of her parents splitting up and was fearful.
And again when Eddie had false hope of their parents getting back together on hi b-day.

I loved this show growing up. I wasnt even aware of racism until I saw this show. Her family and friends looked like mine and that was normal to me. So sad that other people makes it complicated.
reply

Let them try and pull this stuff now #cancelled! Smh and its crazy! Like I miss how shoes did this even tho it didnt bring change to people stuck in their ways but it helped me a lot!
reply

They also talked about divorce. And I think they were also getting at a bigger topic when Raven went to see the guidance counselor about disappointment and feeling like a loser.
reply

That's So Raven is the reason I didn't have an issue with being on the chubbier side. She fully accepted who she was and served looks while at it. Forever in my heart!
reply

Photoshopped Raven on the thumbnail looks a bit like a young Whitney Houstonwhich I know sounds like a compliment, but think about how her life turned out

1: 23 The message of this episode is not to discriminate against other cultures, and respect them
How exactly was Raven discriminating again that guy?

reply

Why don't they make TV shows like this anymore? It was about something, every episode had a meaning and now? Every show is so bad
reply

I love how shows back in the 90s and the early 2000's tackled real issues while being too extreme, political or over-the-top.
reply

I grew up watching this show so glad to have this show apart of my childhood memories and its centered around a black woman
reply

I loved the messages this show portrays. Its really good for little kids to understand. Even in Ravens home. Good Video

The episode where Raven wants to win the award for Best dressed taught me to never give up despite failing many times.

1: 30 the message Is right, the problem Is that other cultures have little to no respect by the values of the west
reply

Can we talk about the grown ass woman in pig tails and orange shirt at 8: 24? These extras are killing me.
reply

I'm surprised respecting other cultures is at number ten and not number one because its basically anti racism
reply

You should do this for Dinosaurs. I love the show and its preachy episodes and the way they show them.
reply
