Princess Diana's wedding was so awful to watch. You felt, even at the time, that it was going to be a disaster! She looked like she was desperately trying to think of how to get out of it, and Charles couldn't dredge up enough enthusiasm to even notice her next to him. He looked exactly like someone getting their driver's license renewed, bored, anxious to leave and get home to hang out.
How anyone could possibly go through with it, with him, was beyond a lot of people. he made himself poisionously unpopular for life by being an uncaring dolt who was the only person in the world who didn't like his own wife. During their first appearances in public together, he actually stormed off a couple of times because he wasn't getting enough attention from the crowds. There are clips over and over of him sarcastically saying to people, no one wants to see me, they only want to see my wife, like some tantrum throwing, spoiled 5 year old, what a loser. I'm thrilled that he'll never be king, he's too much of big baby to do anyone any good.

I'm looking forward to watching American Crime Story: Impeachment. While I was only a child at the time of the scandal, I'm still excited to the portrayal of real life events.

Diana didnt ever have a claim to the throne, its only the monarch that has the throne. The consort would have a title (with Diana Queen) but thats not the same.
