You don't seem to know that Mary Pickford was Canadian! Despite being known as America's Sweetheart, she was born Gladys Marie Smith in Toronto, Ontario. She rose from poverty to become the first global superstar. She co-founded United Artists in 1919, and was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (ie the Oscars. No list of Canadian celebrities' can be taken seriously without mentioning Mary Pickford!

But it is common knowledge that every other one of these is a known hockey-loving hoser raised on bagged milk and Nickelback in North Mexico. I mean we do have to be aware of them amongst us.
