Am I the only one who wishes Tate Donovan as Hercules made the list? That's one reason why it's my fav animated Disney movie. He did SUCH a GOOD job as Hercules. Unless Hercules was mad or fighting, he sounded so calm in the movie. It was so relaxing to listen to. And sure, Danny Devito did an awesome job as Phil, bc both him and his character are HILARIOUS, but Tate Donovan as Hercules REALLY stole the show, in my opinion. I don't think I've EVER heard a voice acting performance when a character sounds SO calm the ENTIRE movie, unless they're mad or something goes wrong. And let's not forget that Tate Donovan ALSO voiced Hercules in the show, Hercules: The Animated Series, which was a really weird and crazy show, but it was still good. And even there, he NAILED it as Hercules. He ALSO voiced Hercules in the fun, but EXTREMELY difficult game, Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3, and even there, he did a REMARKABLE job. If I was to make a Top 10 Best Voice Acting Performances in Disney Movies, Tate Donovan as Hercules would DEFINITELY be number 1. One other reason that I wish he made the list: EVERY Disney movie has one or more emotional moment(in a good or bad way. Sometimes, when a scene is emotional in a bad way(a. k. a a sad scene, either one or more characters don't really SOUND emotional. Hercules has about three scenes that are emotional(one in a good AND bad way, and two in a bad way, even though the first sad scene is really just a sad conversation. But Tate Donovan even NAILED it during all three emotional scenes. Hercules ACTUALLY sounded emotional. It made me feel bad for him a few times, and actually made ME get emotional. To sum up, I'm glad they chose Tate Donovan to voice Hercules, bc he NAILED it. I REALLY wish he made the list.

I went absolutely crazy when I learned Ursula was inspired by a drag queen. I could never understand where that energy she was known for came from. Now that I do I can definitely see Ursula being a guy in disguise.
Its really too bad Chris Farley died three years earlier. His and David Spades energy from Tommy Boy wouldve allowed them to steal the show if Chris was still alive in 2000 to voice Pacha. I have nothing against John Goodman but Id have loved to see Chris Farley one last time on the big screen before he died.
Already said this on another WatchMojo top vid but I dont mind saying it again. I loved Yzma so much I actually wanted her to be the first Disney villain to win in the companys movie department.
That long live the king line was delivered with such power Irons actually made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I first heard it. I was 7-10 years old when I saw this movie for the first time and I can still remember the initial reaction I had to this line. It goes to show Irons deserves his many awards if I can still remember something so small from such a long time ago with such vivid detail. Im truly devastated that such a talented actor could not save the travesty that was Eragon one of my favorite books turned movie.

I have to say Ms. Mojo I disagree with some of your choices that you placed above Eartha Kitt on your list even though some of them are quite phenomenal. I disagree with Idina, Nathan, Angela- who by the way I had no idea was doing a British voice, even James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, I will let Eddie Murphy stay bcuz he was so funny, he really gave humor and depth, but James Woods was pretty funny but I think Eartha Kitt shouldve been number two on this list, she was so amazing that when she passed away while the TV series was on they just canceled it bcuz she was irreplaceable. And I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but thats just my opinion.

I'm glad they chose Eddie Murphy to voice Mushu. Even though I don't really like the movie Mulan, just like Tate Donovan as Hercules(the BEST voice acting performance in Disney movies, in my opinion, Eddie Murphy NAILED it as Mushu, just like he does in EVERYTHING he's in. Every character he plays or voices is HILARIOUS, and it might be bc Eddie Murphy is one of the funniest, if not THE funniest actor/voice actor I've EVER seen or heard on TV.

OMG DANNY DEVITO I LOVE YOUR WORK!
Pat Carol and Angela Lansbury are no longer with us and you didn't mention that, yet Eartha and Jerry you do mention
Oh mojo did you not see the movie! You can't put brother against brother! They'll try to kill each other
WAIT WHAT! ONLY #2 AND #3! WHO COULD POSSIB- Oh nevermind. Carry on!
Thank you so much for not including any live action which is mostly crap

I could not agree more with this top twenty. When I was watching number 3 and 2, I thought: I can't imagine which one could be better than J. Irons and J. E. Jones. I was going to be angry. When I knew who was number 1, I slowed down. Perhaps, I would place the three of them in different order but agree they all should be on the podium. (Sorry about my English.

Great list, but 3 more very special voice performances are: Ed Wynn (The Mad Hatter) Alice in Wonderland 1951, Peter Ustinov (Prince John) Robin Hood 1973, & Eleanor Audley was Lady Tremaine in Cinderella 1950, as well as Maleficient in Sleeping Beauty 1959, as well as providing the voice for Madame Leota in the Haunted Mansion park attractions.

I knew full well that Robin would be number one, as deserved. He was the first top actor to make an animated movie something special, and his struggle with his role as genie is something I highly recommend people look into! Aladdin will forever be my favourite Disney movie, and that's thanks to him.

One of the things I love about MsMojo is I learn something new each time I click on a video to watch. I would never have guessed that Jerry Orbach did the voice of Lumiere. I liked him in Dirty Dancing and Law and Order. He was a fantastic actor!

For Jeremy Irons, it was rather spot on to use the clip You won't get a sniff without me from the song Be Prepared, as that's the line he blew his vocals out on, and the rest of the song following it had to be voiced by Jim Cummings.

No one could ever replace Robin Williams as the voice for genie, an extremely talented actor gone too soon. I grew up watching Disney films and cartoons and the original cartoons / films will always be timeless classics to me.

Two of the most egregious overlooks were Sebastian Cabot as Bagheera in Jungle Book and Lord Ector in Sword in the Stone, also ever since I was a kid I've loved Louis Prima's music and his role as King Louis in Jungle Book.

I think Idina Menzel is wonderful but this list is about celebrities & I'm not sure she would be noted as a celebrity before Frozen came out. I guess it depends on what you classification of celebrity would be.

You left out Phil Haris as Baloo in the 1967 The Jungle Book and Ken Page as Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare before Christmas. Those two ICONS should have bumped a couple of your picks.

Keith David. Such a massive body of work. He was Dr. Facilier, Goliath in Gargoylrs, Mr. Pig in Timon and Pumba. not to mention all the video games! Surprised he wasn't on this list.

This is coming out of left field, but I really liked Billy Joels turn as Dodger from Oliver & Co. Bette Midler and Cheech Marin were also great in that movie.
