There was so much great music in the year 2021 that it's hard to pinpoint a favorite. But for me in the depression of the world it was definitely a year for BTS. Their music is healthy, bringing good vibes and sharing positivity. Permission to Dance does that and also gives the hearing impaired individuals a great upbeat song they can Dance to, while using sign language as an outspoken visual to accompany it.
But I actually prefer Butter by BTS. I love the beat of it and clique, smooth like butter. The guys are dressed in similar colors and fashion in the video or when they perform it as other venues. Their dancing is always on point and vocals can't be beat.
Those songs are beautiful as well as their vocals. Honestly, I think my #1 pick is (My Universe) by Coldplay and BTS. The video is so cool and visuals are impressive. They really do look like rogue space musicians. The 3rd band mates are out of this world. Creatures, robots and aliens make up the band. Their costumes and makeup really look authentic. And let's not forget the music, half in English and half Korean. The tune is so catchy after I hear or see it, I go around singing it the rest of the day.
BTS' music, vocals, difficult dance routines along with the love from their Army are exactly why they are the biggest boy band in the world. Look up their statistics, awards, Guinness records, they speak for themselves.

Well guess I didnt miss much in music videos for 2021. There were a couple that caught my eyes and ears, like Camillas song and the one with Justin Bieber. The rest though is too hip hop or straight up trashy with the extremely skimpy outfits. But come on guys, when will we get new music that isnt hip hop? I feel like thats all the pop music weve had in the past 5+ years. This is one of those times I wouldve liked to be born in the rock n roll and 80s music era smh.

It's literally impossible to make such a video, because for a good list someone would need to go through all kinds of genres. So eventually videos cover only the most popular artists, which is kinda tragic. For example BTS' video wouldn't even make the top 10 of Korean music videos in 2021 (in my opinion. Let alone genres as rock/metal or indie, which often get falsely ignored.
But I think the arguments in this video make sense, so not a bad job!

I love Lizzo for her supportive lyrics and that she embraces the all shapes and sizes are beautiful but we should always draw a line between embracing our bodies and taking care of our bodies, because at some point it's not a healthy habit and could lead to serious illnesses.

Why was Leave the Door Open left off the list? It was simple, yet beautifully shot, the warm colors made you feel like you went back to the 1970s, and it had so much energy. Plus, Bruno and Andy were so cute in it.

Half the music videos on this list shouldnt have been on here. Watch Mojo must be disconnected from our current generation, because a lot of these picks screamed millennial.

Im shocked the All Too Well short film isnt here. The only reason I can think of for it not to be here is if they dont consider it to be a music video.
