I have 2 disagree with toy story 4. Well yes the 3rd ending is great but it didn't feel real it was a cheap way to run from reality. The 4th movie shows that woody has to find his happiness since he did spend the last 3 movies being selfless and being there for Andy while struggling his morals about one day they'll grow up and left them for dead or move on leaving him behind. And it does happen when he grows up and have to move on and let go. Also while Bonnie loves woody but even then it didn't last and was being left behind in her room. While woody tried to be there for her in his mind and heart he's dreading and didn't feel happy at all like he had no point being there even though he didn't know it at the time so when he sees bo and saw this big opportunity he struggled about what he want vs others sake knowing he didn't feel joy like he used to but love to help but being taken for granted. Woody will always his family and his current kid but he's dwealing his own past for so long it's not good for him. It was a hard choice yes for him but it was worth it and he finally let go and finally be happy and his friends are happy for him since he's a leader the whole time and they see him always look sad that's he's taken for granted. And they approved and let him go.
Which is why I excuse this ending it relates that we grow up and we want things to stay the way it is but sometimes life is not always like this people Change, people fall apart, and people go separate ways for their reasons that doesn't mean they you less it's just they want different things, and they do go distant, which is why when graduate high school or college change is going to happen like it or not and it is scary but also a new beginning and it's up to you to decide if you accept this good change or keep using your past to effect the present your in wieither it's family and friends.
So this ending makes sense to me since this movie relates to change and growing up and accept change and moving on.

10 Actually we see Cruella again the the sequal where we learn they got a restraining order on her. Also they got quite a bit of money from the song about Cruella. That can pay for the food also the dogs could just run around the farm instead of walking.
9 After the transformation Belle looks into his eyes and sees he's still the same person he fell in love with, on the inside. Which perfectally matches the message of the story.
8 A satisfying conclusion would have been nice but sadly we all don't get happy endings. Which is a tough lesson that the movie teaches.
7 They're still friends but they went their separate ways.
6 There was more to the plot than the birthday law, and the idea did come full circle in Aladdin 3.
5 Fun fact when I was young I thought Bald Mountain was the last one, also it's the devil not Chernabog. It's not all that scary because he and all his minions are scared off.
4 Yeah fair points here.
3 I rather liked the ending and Woody is loyal it was just Bonnie didn't really need him and he needed to move on.
2 I really like the ending. It teaches kids that sometimes it's just not meant to be, and that it's better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all.
1 Considering they have a private cart and he's become a massive celebrity I doubt working at the circus will be all that bad.
No offense MsMojo, but you should have done your homework a LOT more for this list.

What about Ralph Breaks the Internet? Vanellope selfishly left Sugar Rush without a leader and on another note it seems the writers forgot a major plot point introduced in the first film; if you die outside your own game you dont regenerate EVER, and Slaughter Race seems to be one of the worst games this can happen in. Now Im aware that the NPCs of Slaughter Race are surprisingly friendly and even downright hospitable given the games tone, premise, and even name but the NPCs are the main concern, Im talking about the players. We all know theres that one type of player whose aware that actions in video games rarely if ever have any real life consequences (its a different story towards other players) and Slaughter race seems to be the type of game that encourages players to be hostile towards NPCs. But the main kicker is that Vanellope sticks out like a sore thumb in that game and may as well be a walking (or driving) bullseye, and one of these days her luck can run out and when it does it would be disastrous. Ralph was in the right to try and get her to return to Sugar Rush as it would have been for her own good, but his method was definitely dead wrong. And on another note, wed all hate to see Vanellope go the way of Turbo. Turbo deserved his perma death but Vanellope wouldnt deserve hers.

I figured that Dumbo would be #1, but with that ending, everyone keeps forgetting that you should NEVER release domesticated/tamed animals into the wild. In that regard, freedom really IS overrated; these are animals that are used to being taken care of, and nature just doesn't do that. So, yeah, you may assume that they'd be happier in the wild and see living in the circus as a life of servitude for them, but in truth it doesn't work that way. The thing to remember is that Dumbo was born into captivity and his mother probably was too. For them, that was home and that was life. Oh, they probably didn't like certain thing about it, but who's life is perfect? The others seemed perfectly content to live in the circus, and probably enjoyed the attention. Out in the wild, they're going to be lost. And seeing that Dumbo's ears are an impediment to his walking/running, what do you think's going to happen when he encounters a hungry tiger?
reply

You forgot one, and honestly such an underrated one that no one thinks about the bad ending for it.
The Aristocats
By the end of the movie, Duchess and the kittens have been safely returned to Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, the greedy butler Edgar is boxed up and shipped out to Timbuktu, and the stray cat Thomas O'Malley is officially part of the family. Happy ending, right?
Well. except for one itsy-bitsy thing. Madame still has no living relatives, and without a butler, she now has no beneficiaries for her inheritance when she dies. which is eventually going to happen. And now, not only does she has to think about who is going to take care of her cats when she dies, she also now has to think about who is going to take care of her home for all the alley cats in Paris that she apparently took in out of gratitude for what a few stray cats did for her.

I'd like to defend the Dumbo ending. First of all, Dumbo and hsi mom are together and being with family is important (although i can understand that some people would be homesick. Second, they're famous, so they'll probably be getting rewards for their performances, meaning they're probably not slaves. Third, the movie never said they're trapped forever. They could've been released after a while and the circus might be just a special occasion and they might've released thr elephants to the wild as their regular home, then brought them back for circus season. Fourth, they clearly like being stars of the circus. I can see many people in today's society tend to overlook old movies.

The only one I wholey agree with is Pinocchio as I feel like rather than include monstro a whole new villain finish up the plot you started with as they never said what happened to the coachman or geppetto did they get their just desserts or are they still wrecking havok, as for the others you ever hear of sequels and for those that don't have one other than Pinocchio I liked the endings except chicken little but that movie was out there to begin with the ending just took it a step too far but it resolved the plot like the other ones, maybe not in a good way but it was enough

For the Fox and the Hound ending, as disappointing/bittersweet the ending is of their friendship being a memory, you could say that at least they parted on good terms. As depressing as the ending is, I'd say it's mature for a kids' film in the best way possible. Fox and the Hound showed me as a kid that not all childhood friendships will stay the same when we grow up. We move on. In a way it prepared me for the day I moved across the country, leaving my best friend but still remaining friends, and we both have new lives to live.

Spoiler alert: The man in a video I watched daid that in the original book, Lampwick (who was called Candlewick) did not have a happy ending. When he was turned into a donkey, he had to work on a farm and died from being overworked. If you adk me, the book is even darker thsn the Disney movie. BTW, there's an animated adaptation from the early 70s that mae from Italy and it's very similar to the original story. Soem people may not realize that Disney actually toned down the darkness.

I honestly don't think Fantasia would have worked as well if we didn't close out with Night On Bald Mountain / Ave Maria. Ave Maria was the perfect closure for the movie as a whole, and I thought Bald Mountain worked well as a climax; that's usually when we'd have the big battle between a villain and the hero in a regular movie, anyway. Having Mickey close out the film would have been fine, but this arrangement made the film end with a bang.

I dunno, Pocahontas has one of my favorite Disney movie endings. Its bittersweet and perfectly subverts the traditional Disney Princess happily ever after. Plus the soundtrack is stunning.
Definitely agree about Toy Story 4. I could never even bring myself to watch it Toy Story 3 was just too perfect.
(Also PETA is not an animal welfare organization, theyre animal rights extremists.

I don't agree with Beauty and the Beast. I think it makes logical sense - if you fall in love with someone's personality, you start to see them as a more attractive person, like they seem handsome/pretty to you. So the Beast turning into handsome prince seems reasonable to me. btw i'm one of these who thought that Beast looked better than human prince lol
reply

Beauty and the Beast. That's literally how the fairy tale (and original novel) ended. And I actually kind of hate the beard joke in the remake because it mocks his suffering under a curse as a preferred state. It's not progressive to want someone to continue suffering with forced body disphoria, Watch Mojo. The remake didn't fix anything.
reply

10. It was there nature from the beginning, but yes its a little bit weird.
9. Actually it was sort of the point of the curse. He was punished for being horrible, once he wasnt he stopped being punished.
8. Excellent point! Clearly it wasnt relevant to the story, but it should have been mentioned.
2. Head cannon- he returns

James 1: 22-24 NIV
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

reply

Okay, Toy Story 4 is being taken out of context here. Woody understands that as a girl, Bonnie will look more to Jessie than himself. And, by going on the road with Bo, he can help other kids and toys be united. To say he's abandoning all he's talked about for the previous movies is going a bit far.
reply

Genie masquerading as the Peddler in the original movie makes a bit of sense, when you think about it. As revealed in Return of Jafar; he may no longer be bound to the lamp but regardless, Genie STILL had his magic on hand.
As such, shape-shifting into the Peddler would be possible

5: 18 Whelp, you're not going to like the ending of Gilbert & Sullivan's _Iolanthe_, then. Or _Ruddigore_, for that matter. Or _The Mikado_. Or _H. M. S. Pinafore_. Or. never mind; you're not going to like the Gilbert & Sullivan comic operas in general, or at least the endings thereof.

How about The Rescuers Down Under?
Sure Marahute and Cody are rescued, and Bernard and Bianca are going to get married, but what about the other animals that McLeach had captured? That is a detail that I wish they would have put in the movie, showing them being rescued as well.

reply

So, these movie endings are wrong? No, not really, or not all of them at least. Movie endings like Fantasia, Pinocchio, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast and others are good. The only not-convincing ones are from Dumbo and Pocahontas-This one because of history accuracy-
reply

The whole point of Beauty and the Beast's ending with everyone turning human again was that the Prince/Beast treated his subjects like objects instead of treating them like people. That's why the enchantress turned him into a beast; to punish him for his beatly behavior.
reply

The live action Pinocchio will probably address the fate of the donkey boys. As for Pocahontas, it can't stray too far from the actual historical events. As for The Fox and the Hound, it's a depressing ending. I'd rather watch One Stormy Night any day.
reply

Underwhelmed! That ending to Pocahontas needed to happen because it made sense. Also, not every love story has a happy ending. It was meant to be a gut punch and to show the reality of things. If only the god awful sequel didnt ruin that message
reply

If you want a happier Pinocchio ending, check out the 1999 Adventures of Pinocchio. The employees of the amusement park are dealt with, the kids and donkeys escape, and eventually turn back to boys (though it doesn't entirely explain how.
reply

Fox and the Hound was a definite need to have a better ending and Pinocchios subplot involving Pleasure Island needed to be resolved too, but I dont think Beauty & the Beast had any issues with its climactic ending.
reply

Cruella did get arrested in the remake also woody was Neglected by bonnie and copper and Todd might still be friends they just had to go there separate ways because they did say they would be friends forever
reply

I would have ended Robin Hood with Robin and Marian settling into their castle with their newborn kids. Same with The Fox and the Hound, I would have Tod and Vixey relaxing in their den with their newborns.

Fun Fact: In Starkid's 'Twisted' a retelling of Aladdin, they made it so that Aladdin was the narrator merchant. Which if you believe that logic, basically means the entire movie was a lie
reply

The final minute of Dumbo remains one of the greatest and most heartwarming in the history of animation.
And Disneys remakes are one of the gravest sins humanity has committed this century.

reply

Im not surprised this is on here especially since theres literally a robot chicken thing about this 0: 39 but at least the second movie is nothing like that hack this one scene with 101 dog bowls
