The problem here is that everyone in America feels entitled. Us Americans are so spoiled that we don't know how good we really have it. Some people need to fake it until they make it. Anna was precisely doing just that, she was faking it because she thought she was going to make it. I think Anna would have been very successful with her foundation, and I believe she should have paid everyone and every institution she owed back once her foundation had taken off and become successful. As for Rachel, I have no sympathy for her, she used Anna for 2 years, Rachel wasnt friends with Anna for who she was but for what she could offer her financially. All those people including Rachel made the decision to go on that luxurious trip with Anna thinking it was going to be on Annas expense, so if they, aka Rachel, didnt have the money to go and spend at least for an emergency, why did they/she go in the first place? It was irresponsible on their, Rachel's part. If Rachel didnt have money to spend, then she shouldnt have gone thinking someone else was going to fully pay for her. At the end of the day, things happen. On the other hand, yes, Anna did commit crimes such as cashing in fake checks and traveling on money she didnt have thats irresponsible on her part. I think she would have been fine, if she didnt cash in those fake checks and used fake credit cards and what not. People do deserve second chances to redeem themselves as Anna deserves her.

I really liked the show. The hospital OD part was not researched. A psychiatrist would be in civilian clothes and usually do an interview in their office. At a hospital they would use their security to keep the patient from running off the unit. This seemed to be depicted as a combination hospital and mental health unit. The security at mental health facilities are called orderlies, mental health workers or mental health technicians depending on the facility. In the show he said some physical therapist would restrain her. A physical therapist helps injured, or ill people improve movement and manage pain through rehabilitation and does not provide security and does not restrain people.

Although at times I feel amused at what she managed to get away with, she absolutely stole money from a lot of people and left a mess in her wake and that debacle in Morocco could have ended up much much worse if Rachel hadn't put forth her own credit cards. I would have done the same thing in the same situation, other countries treat prisoners horribly, and they could have all ended up in prison for quite some time before people learned of their plight and bought their way out of it. I am glad Rachel came out as well as she did and I think the jury that found Anna not guilty in scamming her need a swift kick in the pants.

Also, according to Rachel's book, she did not leave in a taxi holding hands with Jesse; Anna (& Jesse) somehow got to stay at Branson's hotel for a few days after the first resort. There was also a party upstate the 2 attended where some awkward things took place. Some other small details about Neff, prices, and other friendships that fizzled due to Anna's coldness. Her book talks about how Neff was going to go to Marakech with them, then flaked at the last minute. Yet the series shows her in an almost Trumpian shadow to Anna; she could never do anything wrong!

It's amazing that major corporation executives skewed market information that eventually caused the housing market to burst and our economy to fail. Costing tax payers billions of dollars and almost no one lost their million dollars in bonuses. Much less went to prison. But Anna conned the rich out of a few hundred thousand and her freedom was taken from her. I say kudos to her. I wish the elite were duped by regular people more often. I have no sympathy for them

I see Anna as sociopathic. She wasn't violent, but certainly cruel. She had a mission in her mind and all the other people around her were pawns to be used and discarded. That's pretty much the DSM5 definition in clarity. Even today, in this interview, she needs names of people she wronged. That's because she still doesn't understand the depth of her actions. Only she matters. WOW. Talk about consistent character or the lack of it.
reply

I don't care what anyone says she was a brilliant mastermind and on the level of some of the most powerful richest people in New York! So she lies to get there, what matters is that she got there! And people talked so much shit about her afterwards but there was a time when people were stumbling over each other just to be in her presence! :She is my hero! lol I would love to pick her brain for an hour! She is amazing!

I was horrified by the ending of the movie where they tried and failed to make her a more palatable character. No remorse, no apology, no insight into her actions. But Netflix had to pretty up her character at the end so she was more acceptable to the forgetful. Seriously, the ending was so fake and so terrible to this movie. People should STOP watching it 3/4 through.

Julia garner shes amazing I dont have any word to describe her. But all Im shocked about is how the jury judge the fake Anna as an innocent person how is that just imagining that you are in the place where your career destroyed and being stolen by a faker sorry for my bad English. But Julia garner you are the best Im huge fan of yours

what I dont understand is how did no one ever ask her for ID? Her passport had her real name on it, but yet banks and stuff was giving her money, without checking her ID! and just believing some ''guy'' on the phone and some emails, aka her phone app with voice changer, and untraceable emails. How did no one ask her for ID?

Watched a trailer and I couldn't get past her painfully annoying voice, in the jail/fashion scene, without punching my screen. So, never watched it.
Literally the most annoying voice I ever heard and no she does not sound like the real Anna at all, her voice is annoying also but not enough to want to punch something.

Worst was when they had a 7 foot dude play the female trainer jarring and disturbing. No suspension of disbelief. Also, Shonda Rhymes is an america hating sleaze. LOL, tries to blame trump. The orange man owns these ridiculous wokies like Shonda. LOL Shanda is Yiddish for scandalously shameful. LOL - shoe fits baby!

1But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,

Watching the 60 minutes interview with the real Anna, makes me realize that Jennifer did her a huge favor, the real Anna's style, personality, walk, and VOICE are underwhelming. She wouldn't give impressive answers, she'd just chuckle and be sarcastic. I hope she gets deported.

Glad I found your video as Ive been looking for a portable extractor that can be used for my personal vehicle and my home! I also wish it had the trigger handle for for the Vacmaster but definitely going to be better than my Little Green Bissel Machine lol
reply

I know that just applying for a home loan or refi I have to come up with paperwork up the wazoo. I dont know how she got away with what was doing for so long. I guess that is what con artists do. I dont care what she says, she was a con artist.

As a German myself I must say that I find Garners interpretation of a German / European accent terribly off. As an American one might notice but to me it sounds ridiculous, a caricature at most

Vivian Kent was excellent too. I like how real
She was. We are used to seeing perfect versions of people on screen but she was an interesting, real person. Both her flaws and talents shined.

How into day's world does a wire transfer take 2-3 days or a week. You can transfer money in a few seconds. I could see her BS if it happened in the 1980's but this is ridiculous.
reply

I guess it's okay if men on Wall Street and attorneys are just filled with fraud. She's a good actor, I don't see what she did wrong. Any man that did this would be called a genius.
reply

Focused plot too much on the journalist. Who was really annoying and why make so many ridiculous faces? Too many characters as well. It was ok but star was Garner. Great job.
reply

If Chase was not a real person, the story makes no sense. In the series, she gets ahead by exploiting her boyfriend. So there's a crucial part of the story missing.
reply

did her lawyer get paid anything? if so, from where? Ah, i just found out, Netflix paid for her lawyer, they neglected to mention that in the tv show.
reply

i was shocked to see that she was a plain woman in real life. how did she get access to the rich and wealthy? it only happens to beautiful women.
reply

Bro, she asked the reporter if you can tell me the names of the people she burned. Obviously she doesn't feel bad if she can't even remember their names
reply

Charismatic people in person, up front and personal have amazed and defrauded two people very close to me. I could do it to others if I chose to.
reply

This world is dumb, I don't understand why so much attention is paid to this little woman, who didn't steal any fortune or did anything big
reply

I respect Sorokins honest answer at the end - tell me their name and Ill tell you if I feel bad
Relatable - on a much smaller scale lbs

reply

She is so lucky she didn't scam the WRONG people. She would have been killed for sure. She knew exactly who swindle, when, and how.
reply

This whole video was the support Rachel in her decision against Anna. You need to do better reporting. This is a straight smut video
