8: 56 finally The Mentalist getting some sort of recognition. And storywise it made a lot of sense. Patrick Jane could not let himself be in something meaningful until he stopped Red John. After that, it was only a matter of courage and opening up to Teresa Lisbon. Because he was letting himself go somewhere that he had not been for a long, long time. And Teresa was so hell bent on making sure Jane not crossing the lines during the Red John search, that she knew she had to have some distance. But their tension was palpable from Season 1 and it was the finale of Season 4 that gave a us a bit of a hint.

10: 53 it set up Season 6 perfectly, and seeing Brennan being depressed in the early part of Season 6 because she knew that she made a big mistake by letting Booth go in Season 5 was great character development because she was forced to confront feelings that she never wanted to and realised how alone she was. They could not even have their post case drink session together because Booth was seeing someone else and was drifting more and more apart from Temperance.

Waiting forever to see isn't good though. While you don't want to get a couple together too soon, there are couples here I lost interest in because they made me wait too long. I thought Castle did it perfectly, and so did Gilmore Girls - and both shows waited until the season 4 finale, so maybe that's the perfect time. Four years of build-up, then consummation and time to explore the relationship. I feel cheated if they make us wait until the show ends.

Hook and Emma from OUAT. One season didnt have him in the show. One entire season they were enemies. Half of a season they were kind of enemies/forced to work together. They kiss but hes the one who has feelings at the time. Then it takes another half of a season for them to fall more. Then they date for an entire season before saying I love you. Then it takes another two entire seasons for them to get married.

Thank god Tony and Ziva made it to this list. Genuinely one of the slowest burns in television history. This took from Ziva's introduction in 2005 until their kiss in 2013 and it genuinely felt like torture.
