This case is so devastating. I feel so bad for his family. How could someone encourage their boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse to hurt themselves? You'd have to be evil to do that. I know she struggled with mental health problems too, but there's no excuse for being malicious and telling someone to off themselves. The fact that she did it for attention shows she was probably a narcissist. What's sad is that she seems so normal. Had I met her, I never would have suspected something like that. It's also sad how easy it is to relate to being lonely and not having real friends, but her actions are still inexcusable. Hopefully this story can teach people about mental health awareness for teens. I hope what happened to Conrad never happens again. That poor boy!

Y'all have never been the victim of a person who suicide-trapped you and it shows. Having to deal with someone you love constantly, non-stop threatening to kill themselves and making you feel like you're the sole person responsible for their mental health is extremely traumatizing and IT IS ABUSE. This situation is not as black and white as you're all making it out to be. Michelle was being driven crazy by this guy. He backed her into a corner emotionally and she had a total mental collapse from the stress. RIP to Connor but nobody looks good here, including him and his selfish behavior prior to his tragic death.

The finale of the show was amazing how she tried to take it back screaming at Conrad when he got out but couldn't hear anything was so chilling and well done, you kinda felt bad for Michelle that she did it, kudos to the acting

I haven't seen the show but know the case pretty well. I felt like the trailer made her look innocent so I didn't watch it. Is it any good?
Also it's funny that her defense was that she didn't do anywrong. And she told the family that she helped him as much as she could along with His family will hate me and I'll get in trouble if they find my texts.
You literally know what you did was wrong and broke the law. With those texts and information the defense had to know she was full of shit.

They're both dumb in my opinion. Conrad because his constant telling me he was going to die and not seek help despite me begging him to would have annoyed me too.
And her because how miserable do you have to be to egg someone on and taunt them into killing themselves. Then calling their family afterwards like nothing just happened.
Well now they've made a movie about her and I'm sure she's happy about that. It's the attention she's been wanting for forever. Smh.

I think the girl from plainville did a good job of showing two side. You have to commend the investigator for pursuing the case. I believe that all suicides should be looked into. I also feel for the young girl she will have to live with this for the rest of her life. I think she did love him and just didnt know what to do she was going to lose him either way. I also believe she believed she was in an episode of glee. With the mental illness she was living with.

Imagine there are people in jail for years and years for possession of MJ but this little girl can talk a guy she claimed to love into killing himself and get barely a year in jail.
I hope life gives her all she deserves, and itd still be too good for her.

This series went on way too long! The series could have been resolved in 3 episodes easily( just finished watching it 15 min ago. regardless of the tragic outcome, its important to remember both Conrad and Michelle have mental health issues! Conrad had attempted suicide 4 times which isnt fully addressed in the melodramatic lengthy series. In hindsight we can only hope Michelle has experienced recovery and redemption what a tragedy!

looking at all the evidence available and seeing the messages he sent her as well, I do not think she should have gone to jail for this. He was still his own person and made the choice to get back in the car. No one threatened him, no one forced him. She just told him to do it believing that it was the only way to stop him suffering after the many disturbing things he had said to her. She herself was mentally ill and desperate.

It's funny how the aunt states at the end how she has to live her life as the most hated person I'm sorry but have a TV series means she's not hated as much as the think. And maybe if the parents kept a better eye and more personal hand in their son's life, some lil fluzzy wouldn't have been able to encourage him! Parents need to be in there kids lives more, then maybe shit like this wouldn't happen!

His father seems to be in a perpetual hunched position, like the world has become too heavy to bear (which I'm sure it has) and his Mother looks numb and void. No matter what ACTUALLY happened here, you can tell that it has been earth-shattering to his family. Mistakes were made all over the place in this case. And it's so SO sad

I don't know, this entire case is weird to me. I mean, it was his choice to kill himself. Okay, she was a shitty person for not calling or asking people close to him for help, but there is no law against being a shitty person. Conrad was responsible for his own actions and in the end, it killed him.

Defense made two mistakes, asked for a trial by judge and didn't let Carter take the stand and give context to the texts, give contexts to their relationship that because people didn't know about it is apparently reason to talk down about it. Anyway her side to a jury and different outcome.

I actually live in the town that Conrad Roy lived in. I remember my mom being very sad that day and I couldnt understand why because I was around 6 or 7. But now I really see what a tragedy this is.
