The honorable mentions all should've been on this list and it should've been a top 20 instead. The most relatable characters for me were Mia, Olive, Cady, Charlie and Gabiella. But I always find myself disappointed about the fact Gabriella was this shy introvert in the first movie and after scoring the musical, she isn't that same person anymore. There's pluses to her character arc, but for me. I always feel like I'm painfully shy and no matter how old I get, that hasn't changed. And a shy character shouldn't always have to overcome their shyness to have growth. Then with Charlie, I was on the same page with him until they revealed his various issues resulted from his aunt molesting him. I'd seen this in a few other works. I can only pinpoint my shyness originating from no one asking me to hang out with them in elementary school so for years, I was too afraid to try making the first move because the rejection feels worse than being alone. I wish so badly I can overcome that, but I also don't want to change how I am just to fit in.

For me, I can most definitely relate to Mia Thermopolis from the princess Diaries. Like Mia, I am a bit clumzy, wasn't well liked in school and and bullied and teased even humilated just like Mia Thermopolis was too in the first Princess diaries and even the second princess Diaries [ and both movies are my favorites ] but Mia Thermopolis is me all the way, Mia was a artist, a role model and and very pretty and even she had keep secrets from her friends[ being a princess] and then she accepts the crown and became princess of Genova with her grandmother at her side as her mentor and eventually became a bigger role model to me. I think being relatable Mia is amazing for me.

For me not metioned but Jo from facts of life. She disliked the rich and didnt trust them. Had a temper yet had a heart to fix things. She didnt stick to girly things but challenged stereotypes. As a guy i can relate as i have much respect for strong women. I also am not your typical guy who loves fishing and hunting or knows every score stat in football, nor do i care about cars. So i get that i dont wanna have a label thing. Personality wise she and i are alot alike. We are both sassy as well.

Where's Josie Geller from Never Been Kissed? That's who I feel I can relate to the most, because just like her, I was a total nerd/bullied in high school and desperately wished I could be one of the popular kids, only to find out later in life that none of what you thought was super important back then really matters nowadays

What is problematic in these films is the fact that the happy ending often means the girl conforms to gender expectations, when the right thing is to show that people are valuable, important and good just the way they are. For me, the most relatable movie today is the Spiderman Trilogy, with friends Peter Parker, MJ and Ned.

MsMojo Let's get one thing straight, Simon Spier is about as relatable as Jeff Bezos. Simon is the literal embodiment of the heteronormative image of a gay man: Straight-acting, well-to-do, femme-shaming, white, and cis. He was a dick to Ethan and the movie itself is completely outdated.

Yeah I was always there for my friends back in my high school years like a friendly ear or gave helpful advice so that'd make me the moral compass like Gabriella Montez which I could'nt be happier since she's always been my favorite in the high school musical franchise

While Hillary Duff makes the top spot, I really like Terri Fletcher from Raise Your Voice. She's really unsure of herself, but with some poking and prodding she goes out on a limb and really shines. One of my favorite movies as a kid.

With all due respect, Love Simon does not show representation like people think it does. All we're getting is another white protagonist LGBTQ lead movie. Which has been done time and time and time again.

Is it just me or is Shes the man the movie version of Bella and the Bulldogs especially since both The main characters want to try something but theyre told no by a bunch of men and they prove them wrong

Pick five from Dazed And Confused, and five from Fast Times. Any five from either movie would eclipse the ones named. Even pick a few from Say Anything.

We definitely need more black female leads in teen movies. Theyve either been secondary mean girl or loyal best friend or not even there

I always related to Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower The most, because of my shy disposition and tendency to observe people.

As always, this is as good as it's gonna get, is the most relatable line of all time. I'm sad Mia only got an honorable mention.

Idk about you guys, but I feel so relatable to Preston Meyers from Can't Hardly Wait. That movie is top notch!

People could argue they could relate to A CINDERELLA STORY
But everything about it feels lazily written
