Regarding that question about house buying shows?
I don't love them. They're boring. And Lord Xero forbid they have to rid of their pets (or one of) because oh, not enough space for both.
One couple had to rehome their cat(s? Don't remember the amount they had, maybe it was 1) because they were buying a house and OF COURSE the dog didn't get along with them AND there would not be enough room!
I admit, I am biased toward cats, but seriously? Don't buy a freaking tiny house if you want to keep your pets and want room for all of them? Those pets were bought and are now a responsibility of yours! Don't use the house as an excuse to have to rehome all of your pets except one!

Extreme Cheapskates was really something. I will never forget the episode where Shelley threw her daughter a wedding for under 1000 dollars. I felt so bad for that poor girl. She had her wedding at a school gymnasium. Wore a wedding dress that had rat pee on it. Had a fake wedding cake. Served her guests cheese sandwiches. Made them bring their own alcohol and food. It was a mess. It was appalling. I know ppl don't like to spend a lot of money on a wedding but she could've given her daughter a budget of 10 000 dollars and they would've had a much better wedding.

I. D. K. I. W. P(I Didn't Know, I Was Pregnant) was another one of TLC's unhinged Reality-TV shows. Documenting strange circumstances & areas where women are unaware of their pregnancies---only for said woman to go into labour, was such a hit, that I included easter eggs of it in Episode 4(& upcoming Episode 5, in my TransFormers: AlignedVerse FanFiction, with a certain human character.

I didnt watch most of these shows except my teen is pregnant and so am I. Im kind of sad that I missed the one titled the best funeral ever. I like that idea. Like the funeral Director/pastor said youre making the family happy at one of the worst times of their lives. Right now, I do like the show I didnt know I was pregnant but every time I watch it I get nervous lol.

Awe man, I loved Best Funerals Ever. The send-offs were very unique. A couple that I remember was one person loved game shows so they made the casket into a spinner pointer and the attendees won prizes. Another one was a disabled person who wasn't able to go on carnival rides, so he was cremated and the family took his urn to a carnival

I used to love a show called Four Weddings. It had four brides going to each others weddings go judge everything. Whoever got the highest score won a honeymoon. Looking back on it, it's crazy to me that we would judge someone's wedding like that. Two ceremonies being different doesn't mean one is better then the other.

TLC is what you put on when your kids make snarky comments about the family they were born into. They have to know how good they actually have it when their biggest problems are dad jokes and mom's tendency to break into song and/or dance at random times.

I vaguely remember a show called Four Weddings where four brides attend each other's wedding to compete for a honeymoon. I think they rated on the food, venue and bride's dress too.

I don't watch a ton of reality tv, but I've seen half of these! I like the really weird shows. I figured The Swan would be on here, but that was on FOX, not TLC.

I've watched the extreme cheapskates and the extreme couponing. The Second one I understand. The First one is who looks the worse.

So you can basically have people do literally any activity in their birthday suits and call that a reality TV show?
reply

Omg! What a time to be alive when the episode of Extreme Cheapskate, with the asian dumpster diving accountant, was on.

I wish there is a mention of Dr. Pimple Popper. It's really gross to see a cyst popped and oozing out the nasty gunk.

i don't think that's a bottle of maple syrup, and if it is it's must have been expensive AF freaky eaters

I swore that TLC had educational children shows at one point along with educational television in general
