Songs I would add: The Walker from Fitz and the Tantrums, because its good, quick beat, its cheerful, it calls out my favorite exercise (walking, and the chorus has some good encouraging lines for exercising (Oh! Here we go! Feel it in my soul! Really need it, need it! So good! Gotta feed it! Heart, it takes control. I also think of Going the Distance by Cake, because its lyrics could feel very motivating especially in the chorus (Hes going the distance! Hes going for speed.

When I was in the Army in the 80s I was stationed at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA studying Korean. I loathed running, but there is a 2 mile run as part of the PT test so I had to run. I made a cassette tape with Falcos Rock Me Amadeus on it as many times as would fit. Id run along the ocean and then back up to DLI on hills that seemed darned near vertical at times. The song was the right beat for running and kept me motivated.

I had to laugh at Eye of the Tiger being a good cardio song. I went to a high school whose mascot was a tiger and every game day Eye of the Tiger played over the Public Announces (PA) system. To this day I hear the opening little bit of Eye of the Tiger and the only cardio I am doing is moving as fast as possible to change the song.

Physical by Dua Lipa is definitely missing from this list. Also it should have been the original Daft Punk version of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger but honestly One more time is the better Daft Punk choice. The only song on this list that I have ever used for cardio is Titanium

A few from my exercise music playlist:
Get On Your Feet by Gloria Estefan
It's Not Right But It's Okay (the thumping remix version) by Whitney Houston
The Climb by Miley Cyrus (Hey, it keeps me going during the last bit of my workout. No shame in my game)

I don't know if it's Number 1 for me but the one song that never fails to push me to try harder during a workout is I Lived, by One Republic. This song is so inspirational and it builds nicely so it's one of those great start slow and finish strong tracks.

Honorble mention:
Technotronic - Pump Up the Jam
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch feat. Loleatta Holloway - Good Vibrations
Darude - Sandstorm
Snap! - Rhythm Is a Dancer
2 Unlimited - Get Ready for This

My most favorite songs that are cardio for me are the first 4 songs of the original Top Gun sound Track, Even at age 54, when I listen to those songs, I can throw 250+ cases of freight with no problem

We don't have to take our clothes off by Jermaine Stewart definitely gets the blood pumping. I really love that song, ever since I first heard it on the radio in the late 80's.

I like to move it either by Reel 2 Real or Sacha Baron Cohen is a fabulous song to work out. The lyrics are literally I like to move it.

I disagree with u msmojo, eye of the tiger should be #1 not #9. It's a better song than every song ranked above it.
