10. Bad example. The only storyline of this episode that matters to me is the Sheldon-Penny storyline. I don't even watch this camping storyline anymore. I skip/mute it.
9. Interesting choice. This should have been included in your plot holes video. In the 20th episode of the final season, everyone called out Leonard for always being a people-pleaser and not standing up for himself and Leonard said that he hadn't done a selfish thing since he took his time being born. It was like everybody, Leonard included, forgot about the events of the 7th episode of the season.
8. Yup, and this is a perfect example of why I hate Penny. It's also an example of why I hate Leonard and Penny as a couple. Because he's always right and she's always wrong, but she usually gets her way.

Leonard wasnt my favourite character, and I admit Im unfair towards him but I do understand what hes been through, however, my main issue with him has just always been him always simping and being pathetically whipped for Penny:
Leonard just enabled and put up with all of her obnoxiousness towards him and his friends, paid for her meals, gave her the password for his and Sheldons WiFi and let her raid their fridge etc. all because he just wanted to get in bed with her. Leonard even jeopardised his friendships with everyone all for Penny or so he could get laid by a hot girl and he almost never stood up for himself against Penny and if he ever did it was a rare occurrence.
Not to mention, Leonard pretty much always gave Penny everything, did many romantic things for her and proved to be the best guy she could possibly hope for compared to all the other guys shed been with and she had the nerve to say he didnt do anything for her, gave her nothing and took her for granted when it was all the complete opposite.
The biggest moment when he did stand up to her is as moment 8 shows us, Leonard actually made Penny start paying for herself and finally grew a backbone to stand up to her but then it all went out the window at the end and pathetic-simp-for-Penny Leonard returned.
You know what ironic is that Leonard never had any trouble with standing up to Sheldon and complaining about him and his mother despite the fact that he would have been locked up in federal prison or dead without Sheldon and wouldnt exist without his mother and father, but Penny did awful things to him, treated him wrongly and was quite a bully to him and he gladly enabled her to get laid, but Sheldon actually did stand up to Penny even for him a number of times and called her out on how obnoxious and a freeloader she was and Leonard never once thanked or appreciated him for it.

As much as I liked Leonard I feel like the show didnt make him as good as he could have been. Every time the writers made him do something bad I just wanted to punch the writers, and tell them that Leonard should be more like Marshal Erickson, in the sense that every other character can count on him as a friend. Because lets be honest, Leonard also did some terrible things that wasnt his fault; it was the writers fault. They also should have killed his sad childhood to explain why hes such a good and caring person (which he wasnt always) my most hated him moment that in my opinion was out of character for him was when he took advantage of Penny when she was drunk. I hated that episode because theres no way he would ever do that!

I personally never liked that he forgave his mother.
Like. .. everything she did just was forgiven scotfree.
She neglected him and basically mentally abused him.
Leonard never had a birthday party, had constant pressure due to the success for his parents and siblings and he never got credit for anything. ..
Leonards mother is maybe an intelligent person, maybe even a good person for society.
But she is a lousy mother who, in any real life circumstances, should have been cut out of the life of their children.

Tbh I think he was the least toxic and best character on the show. Also I would be much more interested in watching the story of young Leonard. His story also has great potential to create something knew and also point out a toxic household and what it is like to be the black sheep of the family where everything you want from life is a simple you did well. That could actually be impactful.

#9 would be terrible if any other character would do it. but i cheered this move because he's always too nice to the point that all people around him just use him for their own benefits. so in this particular case it was kind of character development because it was a healthy egoism (nobody suffered from his decision)

Leonard is an excellent character. A good guy who always tries to make everybody happy. I wouldn't call him the best character though. At best, he's the 5th best. I would never rank him above:

Best character or not, Leonard is the best human being on the show. I don't understand how he became such a gentle and patient human being raised by a cold hearted demon like Beverly.
Also Galecki was brilliant in Maternal Conclusion. 3 is my favourite Leonard moment in the show.
