omg, they completely destroyed my childhood cartoon, I've been watching Scooby Doo since 1969; I believe in a persons choice to be who they are, whatever that is, but why do they have to mess with classic cartoons and TV shows, not everyone wants to see that! I'm just saying what Has to be said! For me, I won't watch it and it makes me damn angry. What's next Fat Albert went to Jenny Craig lost 400 pounds, and bleached his skin. Why does today's society half to reflect in classic cartoons and tv shows? That were perfect the way they were! Let me make something very crystal clear I don't care if you're gay black white Chinese, whatever you identify as, that's your life and you're entitled to that freedom. And I guess the studios own the rights to classic cartoons so they can destroy them all they want, but I really wish they wouldn't. Please, if you need to identify with that demographic, create a new cartoon, I'm sure the people that are interested in that representation will enjoy it very much, but I say again please, leave the classic cartoons, and TV shows alone! end of rant, I always enjoy mojo. Well done guys. Please never change your classic mojo way; )

Not gonna lie, I've loved how velma was portrayed over the years, right from the beginning to Mystery Incorporated (love how badass she is in that series) to the newer era of Scooby Doo with Kate Miccuci (love her so much) However, the newer movies have massively got on my wick, after all the gang have been through previously, with the curse of crystal cove, the bermuda triangle, the samurai sword, you would have thought they wouldn't have taken such a backward step with her character. I feel like some of the films including the one featuring Kiss, return to zombie island, the 13th ghost and Happy halloween (the last one I really liked, I just felt like they made her WAY too skeptical and, to a point, arrogant and ignorant to her other friends opinions. I just feel like that's made her a lot less likable to the audiences in recent years but that could just be me. I just feel like none of the things the gang have been through previously matter in these later movies. It wasn't until the most recent one where she had a crush that I started to like her part in the story again.

Even though I grew up with the What's New Scooby Doo, I fell in love with the classic renditions of the characters more. I don't like that ever since the Mystery Inc, they've been playing off of the romantic drama and extreme ends of the characters. The original seasons were clean and simple, and the characters acted more mature, except shaggy and Scooby of course. And I love Mindy Cohn's take on the character, but isn't as friendly sounding as Nicole Jaffe's

As a 2000s kid, whats new Scooby doo is what I automatically think of and Velmas voice in that jumps right out, as a nerd myself Ive always had a thing for nerdy girls, I blame Velma lol
However mystery incorporated is probably my second favorite version, I know controversial but something bout her was just awesome, probably cause I look like shaggy lol. Also at the time I was too young to realize how toxic she was so yeah

It's the og, the live action and the what's new scooby-doo Velma for me, the movies are those rare ocations when a live action version of a cartoon is actually awesome!
So bad this new velma series is just trash, idc about the race swapping, but the actual character is just a self insert and god is the character awful, does mindy hate Velma that much or why does she feel the need to ruin such a beloved character?

Regarding the Velma show and Mindy Kaling, since she isn't one of the writers, I suspect most of this is from Charlie Grandy. From what I've heard, the new show fits into certain patterns that she typically portrays; but in this case, I think he's a fan of her work and decided to work with her to make a Mindy-style show.

Amazing video mrs mojo of the different versions of Velma throughout the Scooby-doo franchise, fantastic job. What new scooby-doo Velma is the best version to me and one of my favourite scooby doo cartoons ever. I give the new Velma cartoon a chance if its good or not.

Velma is one of my favorite characters from Scooby Doo, because she always says Jinkies! My glasses, I can't see without my glasses. That is how i feel when I can't find my glasses anywhere. Sabrina Griffin.

I would definitely recommend people to watch Scooby Doo: mystery incorporated or that live action mystery incorporated series instead of the new one on HBO Max. The new Velma TV show is not worth my time.

11: 44 Velma wasn't always white. In the live action cartoon network movie, she's played by an Asian woman.
In Mystery Incorporated, she's Jewish.
And in Scoob! she's a Latina.

Not surprisingly, the franchise succumbed to woke culture which changed the essential nature of the character to force a recognition of the change. just can't leave a good thing intact. KDM

I need a third scooby doo live action with the same cast. The casting was too good. From Sarah to Linda and matthew and Freddy. Just spot on with great actors.

One of these things just doesn't belong
Can you tell me which thing is not like the other?
Before I finish my song

I can tell this wasnt mentioned but Velma can sing. She did sing the theme song in one of the Scooby-Doo and in a scene that was cut from the Scooby-Doo movie

Linda Cardellini was awesome as Velma. I really liked the first Live action Scooby Doo! Mindy Kaling has created a monstrous stink bomb.

The new show sucks, Velma's personality sucks, no Scooby, and yet they had the guts to call random people Fred, Daphne, and Nor-ville!

For me, the best Velma is the original. The second, Linda Caderline's Velma. That's it. we don't need more.
