Ive got a scene from this movies I dont know the name of but cant stop thinking about it.
1st movie: scene where this teen boy is in class and goes to the principals office where the principal sternly talks calmly to him and getting more into details he starts to yell (probably sprays in his face as well, then once he gets yelling, he tells the teen to get out, he says yes sir and does so.
2nd film: some movie about a young pre teen or teen boy, he goes to school. In a scene a bigger teen chokes him and he punches him in the face but gives him a bloody nose. Another part where the young boy goes to his house to give him an apology letter, the big guys mom wants to see the letter but he keeps moving around so he wont let her see it, the young boy gets in the car (driven my an older girl or woman who I dont know if shes his sister or someone he knows.
3rd movie: opening to a party at a house where band preforms and they are having a fun time (teens I believe, its cuts to a room (muffled noises) with kids just sitting on a couch (or bed) and they are asleep or daydreaming, one keeps saying chocolate. Then the girls parents come and tell her why she has a lot of people and she said they told her she could invite people and the mother tells her no only a few people, then a man blows a whistle which stops the party and he tells everyone to get out.
4th movie: one with a teen girl on a cow farm (I think, I dont remember a lot about it though I remember when her cow alarm clock would go off and it saying good morning. Though one morning she doesnt wanna wake up and stops the alarm, then this man (most likely her dad) comes in and play reveille on his bugle and she gets annoyed, he stops and they talk for a little bit and after the talk, he walks about finishing the rest of the reveille on the bugle.
Im not sure what the name of these movies are, I just saw them while in elementary school but the 3rd one I think I saw it on tv at my house when I was little. If anyone knows the name or if any of the scenes I mention rings any bells please tell me.

Ferris Bueller is better with a fan theory that it mostly takes place in Cameron's head. I thought the most memorable Mean Girls scene was Cady telling Aaron Samuels that he is actually kind of bad at math. I like to imagine that Aaron already knew how bad he was at math and what was going on from the start when Cady was pretending to be worse. I think Regina would have already given him the guided tour of Girl World.

The top 5 are definitely great choices, John Cusacks boombox scene has never once failed to make me cry And Im usually pretty stoic!
That and Heath Legers steps scenes both sparked a thousand disappointments as young people all over the world genuinely believed thats how their own true love would one day play out and had their hopes all too quickly dashed!

I'd heard of the boombox scene several times, years before I watched Say Anything. I expected Diane to run outside & jump into Lloyd's arms. However, she ignores him. None of the characters mention it & the rest of the film would be exactly the same without it, so why is it talked about so much as though it's pivotal to the film?

Fame (1980): the scene in which Bruno's dad (taxi driver) plays Bruno's music (the song Fame, sung by Coco aka the late Irene Cara) in his taxi, using loud speakers, and all the kids get out of the School of the Arts and dance in the middle of the street blocking the New York traffic.

It feels like the 80s were like the rise of the teens decade. Up to that point, most movies had adult protagonists. Horror movies especially took advantage of the age - old enough to understand everything, young enough to get brushed aside and disbelieved.
reply

Dirty Dancing is iconic for more than just the dance scenes and Baby & Johnnys relationship - it discusses classism & nepotism, the real dangers of back alley abortion, how men can get taken advantage of too, & the love scene is filmed from the female gaze.

I think my favorite is cant take my eyes of you that scene and then the in your eyes oh so good
Ferris Buellers Day off with the twist and shout from the Beatles oh you cant beat all you cant beat that and makes me wanna listen to it right now Lol

I was getting ready to go up in arms if _10 Things I Hate About You_ I Love You Baby scene wasn't included, so felt really good about it placing with a medal. That's the best romantic comedy of all time, not just teen romantic comedy.

nothing from GREGORY'S GIRL, HEATHERS, CLUELESS, ELECTION?
How about 'Let me see the list again' from CROSSROADS?
Is DIRTY DANCING a teen movie, or more about a guy who gets away with bedding a teen half his age?

reply

Um, this list missed soooo much. Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, and of course the one that I bet was number one, didn't even make the list. She's All That. Question: Is Dirty Dancing considered to be a teen movie?
reply

The fist pump scene will always be iconic. Apparently, John Hughes told Judd Nelson to play around with a few gestures, and when he came up with the fist pump, the crew loved it, and the rest is history!
reply

My number 1 would have been the intro of Get Over It with Vitamin C lip syncing to Capt & Tennile's Love Will Keep Us Together. Nothing like a big band number celebrating love when you just got dumped.
reply

My mom pulled up the Pocket full of Sunshine scene from Easy A about a year ago before my sister and I even saw the movie! It cracked us up! Now weve seen the movie twice! We love it! Its so funny!
reply

I KNEW at least one Mean Girls moment had to be on this list. Honestly the whole movie could be on the list because its quotable and iconic but yes that moment is beautiful and so iconic
reply

The best scene in Booksmart was the get high and believe we are Barbie doll type figures. So funny
I still maintain if Heath Ledger had lived he would have been cast as Thor.

reply

What about Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette in Sophia Coppolas, Marie Antoinette (2006? She became queen of France at the age of 18 in 1774. The film does cover her teenage years.
reply

I'm not trying to say that your list lacks melanin, but for some of an iconic teen movie would be House Party, you still see people of all types trying out the Kid & Play.
reply

I want a Ferris Bueller moment at least once in my life. A bunch a strangers just start dancing and singing together, having a good timethat would be so much fun!
reply

But this movie scenes that will get old very very very very very very very very very old old old old old old old old old you all will see that go in all in damit.
reply

Say Anything is by far not only the best scene on this list w the boombox but also the best film on this list and that is saying something not just anything
reply

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is set on a weekday in late spring or early summer, but the parade they go to always takes place on a weekend in September.
reply

All of these scenes honorable mention and on the actual list are so good and iconic and amazing! Also teen movies are full of awesome music!
reply

OA Im glad that Ferris Buellers Day Off was at number one I still like the others choices in this list including The Breakfast Club.
reply

The Old Time Rock And Roll dance from Risky Business should be on this list. That's my favorite rewatchable scene from the 80's.
reply

Easy A's plot is ridiculous. Doing what millions of teen girls do wouldn't cause a scandal. She lives in California, not Iran.
reply

To add on to the pocket full of sunshine obsession, she also has it set as her ringtone which we hear later in the film lol
