Normally these lists are SO off base, but this one isn't bad! When you were talking about the whistle register early on in the segment about Ariana Grande, my mind immediately went to Minnie Ripperton. And lo and behold, you did do a Minnie segment! (Trivia: Minnie's daughter is Maya Rudolph) I'm glad you got Kate Bush too. Wasn't she about 16 when she did Wuthering Heights?
As for who was left out, there's so many: Aretha Franklin and Patti Labelle come to mind. Any of the great soul/R&B ladies - Etta James (sometimes she would lower the mic to waist height just to show how powerful her voice was, she didn't even need to hold it up, Chaka Kahn. Ann Wilson from Heart is a hella singer. Linda Ronstandt could do literally anything in her time. Cyndi Lauper can run around some octaves.

NONE of these songs are difficult to sing for a good, femal vocalist. I am not sure why ANY of them are included in this list. Perhaps you should ask good, trained musicians and songers to rank the songs that are difficult to sing!
Celine Dion sang songs within her most powerful range, which is what all good singers do! ALL of these singers sang songs that fit within their best capabilities. It is absurd to think that someone is a superior singer simply because she chose to sing songs within her own power range. :/
I have all of Toni Braxton's range plus a typical second soprano range. NONE of her songs are difficult to sing for me.

Jane Zhang covering the piece The Diva Dance from the movie 5th Element. In the movie, the vocals are modified because an alien race is singing it. The modification was believed to be impossible for a human to duplicate, but Jane Zhang does an unbelievable attempt. Truly a difficult piece for a female singer. Is this a proper song? perhaps not, but as in the movie, the singer has a solo part in the orchestral piece.

Amy Lee from Evanescence. her music over the years still captivates me to this day and Speak To Me was one of her best! and if you heard her hitting those high notes in her songs like My Last Breath, The Last Song I'm Wasting on You, & Hi-Lo (listen to SYNTHESIS for this one, & Your Star. just to name a few from different albums i can't say they all had the whistling note, but in these songs u feel it!

Actually I think the aria from Abduction from the Seraglio (act 2) for Kostanze by Mozart is wayyyy more difficult than any of this stuff. Not songs, you mean new POP songs. But of course, you must pander to children who believe the world began in 1998, when they were born!

Well, this Video focuses on Pop songs. The most difficult songs are of course in the metal genre. Nightwish - Ghost Love score or Within Temptation - Angels are examples but there are for sure even more difficult ones.

I think we're confusing shrill for hard note. Singers like Gaga, Jonette Napolitano, Joplin, Melanie, Stevie, Odetta, Celia Cruz, Carly Simon, Baez, Dolly, .no cover does them justice or ever will.
