Oh boy, I am mad as a hornet! You relegated my great uncle, who absolutely DEFINED the concept of a Disney sidekick to the same level as freaking Ray, the gargoyles, and Turk? I mean he doesn't beat Robin Williams but for damn sure he's more iconic than the mice from Cinderella or Kronk (Don't get me wrong, I love the mice and I adore Kronk. You only passed him up because it's an older movie. The usual Millennial entitlement!

Jimmy MacDonald As Jaq, Gus & Bruno Cinderella and Dwayne Johnson As Maui Moana and Danny Devito As Philoctetes Hercules and Josh Gad As Olaf Frozen Franchise and Samuel E. Wright As Sebastian The Little Mermaid and Eddie Murphy As Mushu Mulan and Robin Williams As Genie Aladdin would you want me as a real life buddy on TV or on the DVDs or on Disney Plus
reply

For me if I would to pick a sidekick that Eddie Murphy voiced it would be donkey I love his Portrayal of donkey in the shrek movies he does such a great job at portraying a funny slightly annoying but very loyal character hes so good he also some. Of my favorite lines like we can stay up late swapping manly stories and in the morning Im making waffles
reply

I love the emperors new groove! Pull the lever, Kronk! WRONG LEVER! Why do we even have that lever? Kronk always cracked me up pulling the wrong lever! Patrick Warburton made him such a lovable and funny, albeit dim-witted, character. Still, I wish he was #2 instead of #3 by all accounts it doesnt make sense

If there's a chance Danny devito will be in transformers I would want him to voice gears. I hear him everytime I say: Houston we have a problem gears is not responding. And I hear Danny say: YOU SAY I'M NOT RESPONDING ONE MORE TIME AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S NOT RESPONDING!

Back to the third HM (actually, 3rd through 5th in one, you forgot one: Jane Withers. Mary Wickes didn't live to do all of her lines, so Jane Withers stepped in for the rest; however, there's no telling when it was Mary speaking, and when it was Jane)
reply

Aw, no Peter Behn and Tim Davis as Thumper in Bambi? All five actors playing the Dwarves in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Don't forget, these movies go WAY back, don't just focus on the more recent ones. (At least you got Jiminy Cricket and Baloo in)
reply

1. Tangled

My Favorite Best Disney movies ever

I know that Angela Lansbury is iconic but I kinda wished that you had said all three sidekicks. Lumiere and Cogsworth are so iconic and so good. Especially Lumiere. The man (well candlestick) just radiates French and is super classy and hilarious
reply

I completely agree with Robin Williams being the undisputed top pick, but I don't know a single person who gave any focus to Mrs Potts or Sebastian. They were odd picks indeed. Not that they were bad, just not people I'd jump at being friends with.
reply

While I applaud the late but awesomely funny charms of Robin Williams as Genie (well deserved placing in the list, I also especially love the late Angela Lansbury as Mrs Potts and her beautiful warm rendition of Beauty and the Beast.
reply

A lot of these take me back. Still funny today
R. I. P to all those talents that are no longer with us. I feel they each left something unique behind and are able to live on at least a little through these great performances.

reply

if I'm guessing correctly the late and greatest Robin Williams as Genie is number 1 as no one brings a character to life as he did. RIP Robin Williams, those that grew up with you in their lives still miss you to this day
reply

The character performances of these voice actors aren't just the best, They are absolutely legendary because the characters on this list may be Disney sidekicks but a lot of them were portrayed by big time voice actors!
reply

Sam e Wright was a great actor who voiced as Sebastian from the little mermaid and Robin Williams was great actor too who voiced as Geine from Aladdin and may rest in peace for two actors and they are missed
reply

Love the list, but I think Phil Harris (Baloo) should have been in the main list; especially since he voiced 3 sidekick characters. Baloo, Little John in Robin Hood and To. OMalley in Aristocats.
reply

Hey! And what about Tom Hank as Woody? Toy Story is one of the most incredible films. And also. well, I don't know who made the voice of Dory, but I am sure Nemo will vote for her.
reply

We all knew who was number 1. Always. Sidenote that Eddie Murphy isn't really a great actor overall, but his voice roles actually work. I really think he should have stuck to that.
reply

Honestly I wish that you had said Mrs. Potts, Lumiere and Cogsworth! Especially Lumiere! Hes so French and amazing and has some insanely good lines! But so does Cogsworth!
reply

Aquafina as Sisu as the fairies from Sleeping Beauty are some of my favorites (although the fairies are more like the leads of the film but they are treated usually as sidekicks.
reply

I always wish Robin did more voice acting. He seems so unlimited with comedic improvisations when given freedom to take a role and go to town with it. RIP good man.
reply

This is one of the things where they completely missed the mark with the live-action movies, they are missing the fun in these amazing sidekicks!
reply

There was no doubt that Robin William's would still be in first place for Aladdin. That's why Genie is my favorite Disney character.
reply

In my humblest of opinions. it's criminal that Jim Cummings is only an honorable mention. And Patrick Warburton should be higher on the list.
reply

What about Launchpad McQuack voiced by Terry McGovern he's has two jobs as Scrooge McDuck's favorite pilot and Darkwing Duck's sidekick.
reply

kronk stole every scene in the best way. obv. genie is #1, but that's just unbeatable. iago should have been on here somewhere, though
reply

As phenomenal as Genie is, my heart belongs to Baloo! I'm going to place them together at #1, Heaven must be a very happy place!
reply

That Robin Williams one made me tear up. It feels like we've lost our crazy but enduring uncle. The man, the myth, the legend.
